Thank you to those last week who moved their grooms to cooler early mornings or the following week, your doggo’s wellbeing is my top priority so your understanding is greatly appreciated!

Today I went to Groomfest Education, picked up so many great tips and watched some utterly amazing groomers do their thang! ✂️🐩

Shout out to Cassandra Stephens from The Poochery Dog Grooming, your demos were mesmerising! 😍🌈

🐕‍🦺 🐾 Labradors! 🐾🐕‍🦺

A close second to the most frequently groomed doggo in the salon is the loveable Lab. These bubbly rays of sunshine never fail to make me smile ☀️🫶🏻

Often people are surprised that short coated breeds like Labs could benefit from a professional groom, especially as they often love water and often don’t mind being hosed off in the garden after a dip in the river 💦🚿

But not only do I trim nails and clean out ears with every groom, I have multiple tools to effectively help de-shed all that loose undercoat from their continuously shedding coat, massively helping to reduce hair around the home. These stunning pouches also had a mud mask, which left them so shiny you could almost see your reflection in them! ✨🪩

Bar far my most popular breed through my door at the salon! And boy do I LOVE a spaniel 💙🥇

I often get asked to clip them short for all those nature loving hedge divers and keen swimmers. But do I also get asked for outline trims to keep them tidy but natural (and quite a few specific style requests in between!) 🌳💦🍃

Also worth mentioning, as a double coated breed, they benefit massively from a thorough de-shed and even mud mask to help keep the constant flow of hair tumbleweeds at bay around the house 🤎🐕

I hope you’re all enjoying a slightly slower weekend, despite the typical British weather, the salon will be back open as normal on Tuesday💧☔️

So many of you have asked if I’ll stock the products I use on your doggos in the salon, and I finally caved! 📦🌈

There’s a full range of shampoos, conditioners, paw cleaners, fragrance sprays, antiseptic/itch sprays, nose/paw balms and eye/ear/wrinkle wipes!

Now your floofs can be squeaky clean and smell like all your favourite scents in between their trips to the salon 🛁🫧

🍼 Puppy Grooms 🍼

From 0-6 months of age, I offer puppy grooms for all breeds, sizes and floof levels 🛁

They are particularly essential for puppys who will need life long regular grooming, like the ever popular poodle mixes I’ve had a recent influx of! 🐩

Puppy grooms consist of a double wash, dry, ear clean, brush out, hygiene, nail trim and (arguably the most important part) desensitisation to tools that are going to be needed later on for full grooms ✂️

The sounds of clippers and scissors, vibrations and smells are all things that can be very overwhelming. Taking the time to introducing them slowly early on before needing to using them helps build solid foundations and set them up for a future of stress free grooming 🧘🏻‍♀️
