Cherry 🐾🍒 You would hope that Cherry's story is an anomaly, but sadly she is part of a demographic of dogs. Cropped, bred and dumped before 1YO, Cherry also struggled with suspected hip and elbow dysplasia, colitis and so many other ailments.
🐾
Luckily, she has found herself with a wonderful foster, and she has the magical Jessica Hyams BSc ABTC APBC PPG ICAN watching over her. Cherry came to meet me for her reactivity to unknown dogs, and as part of a wider team we are going to be working on some confidence building and engagement, before hopefully some social skills!
🐾
Welcome Cherry, you are safe here beautiful 🫶

Monty 🐾 I just know you are hypnotised by those beautiful eyes 😍
🐾
Monty has been referred to me for some difficulty over food, as well as some confidence building. His lovely humans rescued him from a neglect situation as a baby, so some little behaviour problems are expected. The good news is, he is an overall LOVELY dog.

If your dog is a bit grumpy around food, don't forget you can book a ✨ FREE 15 MINUTE WELCOME CALL ✨ via my website 💻 dogbehaviour

Rosie 🐾 Lovely Rosie has been referred to me for being a bit of a nuisance around little dogs. Interestingly, she also really struggles to settle, and is restless both day and night. These red flags are steering us towards a deep dive into her health, in particular her digestive system. Alongside those investigations, we are working on impulse control and gentle desensitisation. Of course, we gotta get her sleeping too!
🐾
Welcome Rosie! 😍

Pea (& Hector) 🐾 Beautiful Pea is a rescue from Many Tears. After many years being used as a breeding machine she finally has a safe and loving home with her humans and big brother, Hector.
🐾
Pea has been a little unsettled since a house move last year, so we are going to be using trauma informed care to get her back to stability ❤️

Cosmo 🐾 Beautiful 6M Cosmo is a lovely, friendly girl with a spring in her step! Unfortunately, she quickly gets over-excited and becomes a bit bitey and jumpy, and as a big girl that can be a problem.
🐾
Did you know... Two of the biggest causes of bitey behaviour are gut and/or musculoskeletal problems? 🤔 So, as well as some classic behaviour modification around impulse control and polite greetings, we will be closely monitoring her medical as well.
🐾
PS, if an online cowboy trainer tells you that force-free trainers never take on big dogs who bite, you should see the headbutt I got from Cosmo last week 🤣

Bear (& Marni) 🐾 These two lovely pups have had a falling out, and it is down to Aunty Jade to sort it!
🐾
It can feel like the end of the world when there is a breakdown in relationships between your dogs. So, it is always important to reach out to a reputable behaviourist to help. Interestingly, the outcome is generally much better for boys rather than girls, and these two are smashing their training already in the 48 hours since I left them.
🐾
We are optimistic about their renewed love for one another as we gently reintroduce them (of course supported by their vet and a Dynamic Dog Assessment for each dog).

Dynamically Dog Assessment: Bonnie's Story 🐾 In real terms, a Dynamic Dog Assessment can help you get to the bottom of those pesky behaviour problems by understanding what is truly going on physically.
🐾
A gait and posture analysis collects valuable data for you and your vet that is impossible to come by in a brief veterinary consultation. Tied in with a behaviour consultation, you get one of the most in-depth services available to help your dog.
🐾
Dynamic Dog Assessments booked through About Your Dog are £150 as a standalone service until 30/09. DM or head to my website to book!
🐾
DISCLAIMER: I am not a vet, and I cannot provide a medical diagnosis. This assessment and report is for the collection of data.
