Veterinary-led equine motion analysis, performance assessments & minimally invasive therapies including veterinary acupuncture, mesotherapy & shockwave therapy.

At The Supple Equine Club, we offer a range of evidence-based treatments where appropriate, including:

💉 Mesotherapy
Targeted intradermal therapy using diluted local anaesthetic and anti-inflammatory medication.
Mesotherapy involves placing very small amounts of medication into the skin over areas of muscular discomfort.

🪡 Veterinary Acupuncture

Veterinary-led acupuncture & electroacupuncture used to support pain modulation & muscle function.
Acupuncture uses fine needles placed at specific points on the body to help manage pain and encourage normal muscle function.

⚡ Shockwave Therapy
Focused extracorporeal shockwave therapy supporting rehabilitation, soft-tissue management and long-term performance.
Shockwave therapy uses high-energy sound waves to stimulate the body’s natural healing processes.
‌
Every horse is individually assessed before any treatment is recommended, ensuring decisions are guided by objective movement analysis alongside a thorough veterinary assessment.

Objective Assessment. Earlier Detection. Performance Understood.

🍂 This October all our treatments are 50% off.

What is Mesotherapy?

Mesotherapy is a minimally invasive veterinary treatment used to support the management of musculoskeletal pain and inflammation in horses.

At The Supple Equine Club, we use targeted intradermal therapy using diluted local anaesthetic and anti-inflammatory medication where clinically appropriate.

Rather than injecting medication deep into muscles or joints, mesotherapy involves placing very small amounts of medication just beneath the skin in the area of discomfort. This targets the superficial nerve endings within the skin, helping to influence pain pathways while using significantly lower doses of medication than some traditional injection techniques.

Mesotherapy may be considered for horses experiencing:
🐴Muscle soreness or tension
🐴Back or neck discomfort
🐴Reduced performance linked to muscular pain
🐴Ongoing rehabilitation programmes
🐴Horses requiring support alongside a wider veterinary treatment plan
Treatment is tailored to the individual horse following a thorough assessment. As with any veterinary intervention, mesotherapy is not a one-size-fits-all solution and will only be recommended where it is appropriate for your horse’s clinical presentation.

At The Supple Equine Club, mesotherapy forms part of a wider approach to equine health.

🐎KNOW THEIR NORMAL 🐎

Throughout October, we’re encouraging owners to ‘Know Their Normal’, with our Initial Veterinary Assessments available for just £35 and all treatments 50% off.

Because recognising change starts with knowing what’s normal.

We know our horses incredibly well. We notice when something feels different, but sometimes those changes can be so subtle that they’re difficult to define.

That’s where objective assessment can add another piece to the picture, alongside a hands on veterinary assessment.

Establishing how your horse moves when they’re comfortable and performing normally gives you valuable information that can be referred back to if something changes in the future.

Your horse doesn’t need to be lame, you don’t need to arrive with a problem. This is about understanding the individual horse in front of us and what is normal for them.

What exactly is a Supple Equine Club Assessment ? 🐴

If you’re new here, here’s a simple introduction to who we are, what we do and how you can get started.

The Supple Equine Club is an equine assessment and monitoring hub based at Glebe Farm in Dorset, helping owners better understand and monitor their horse’s movement, comfort and performance.

Using objective gait analysis alongside veterinary expertise, we can establish useful data and track changes over time.

You don’t need to wait until something feels wrong.

You might bring your horse to us if you want to:

➕Establish a baseline of how they are moving now

➕Investigate subtle changes in movement or performance

➕Monitor a horse throughout the competition season

➕Support rehabilitation and return to work

➕Track progress following treatment or intervention

➕Add objective information alongside your existing vet, physio and wider team

Where veterinary examination, diagnosis, prescribing or treatment is required, this is carried out by an MRCVS.

How do I book?📋

You can start with a one off assessment or explore one of our membership options for ongoing monitoring throughout the year.

Currently assessments are only £35 this Autumn.

❓Why assess a horse when everything feels fine❓

Sometimes the most useful information is collected before anything changes. Every horse has their own movement patterns, strengths and individual way of going.

Establishing objective information while your horse is comfortable and performing normally gives us a reference point for that individual horse.

Then, if weeks or months later you find yourself thinking…
“Something feels different.”
…there’s previous information available to compare against.

That can be particularly useful for horses in regular work, competition horses, horses returning to work and those whose movement or performance is being monitored over time.

It isn’t about searching for something wrong with a healthy horse.
It’s about understanding what’s normal for yours.

🍂50% OFF ALL TREATMENTS THIS OCTOBER 🍂

October is all about Knowing Their Normal at The Supple Equine Club, but understanding how your horse moves is only part of the picture.

It’s also about knowing what support is available when they need it.

Throughout October, we’re offering 50% off all treatments at The Supple Equine Club.

Depending on your horse’s individual needs and veterinary assessment, this may include treatments such as shockwave therapy, electroacupuncture and mesotherapy.

🐴Why? 🐴

We want to make it easier for owners to take a proactive approach to their horse’s comfort, movement and performance, whether that means investigating a subtle change, supporting rehabilitation, or helping to manage an ongoing issue.
We also believe that treatment doesn’t always have to mean jumping straight to steroid injections.

Steroid injections can absolutely have an important place in veterinary treatment when clinically appropriate, but they are not the only option available.

In some cases, other treatment approaches may be appropriate to consider first or as part of a wider management plan. Our aim is to assess the individual horse, understand what may be contributing to the problem and recommend treatment based on the clinical findings.

🍂For October only, all treatments are 50% off.🍂

Who’s behind your horse’s assessment?

Meet Dr Dinah Ashley-Cooper MRCVS, Founder and Clinical Director of The Supple Equine Club.

Dinah’s background combines veterinary medicine and musculoskeletal research with years of hands-on experience producing, training and managing sport horses and broodmares.

And it’s that combination that sits at the heart of Supple.

Objective technology can give us valuable data, but it doesn’t replace veterinary knowledge, experience or the importance of looking at the individual horse.

Dinah uses objective movement analysis alongside veterinary assessment, taking into consideration your horse’s history, workload, performance and the changes you may have noticed as the person who knows them best.

Supple is also designed to work collaboratively. Where appropriate, we’re very happy to work alongside your usual vet and the other professionals involved in your horse’s care.

🍂🍂Throughout October, Initial Veterinary Assessments with Dinah are £35.🍂🍂
