A Tale of Two Spaniels this morning! First up Lottie came , we worked on middle and heel, and from that it was obvious she wasn't comfortable staying in either position, so we worked on introducing a placeboard, to help tidy up her heel and give her clarity about the actual position wanted. We also worked on stay, and placeboard patterns to encourage a direct return, and a little game to encourage hand delivery.

After that, Butler came and showed lovely progress in The Thinking Game, lovely to see his brain worked hard!

We also worked on impulse control a lot today, to avoid grabbing at available items at home, and finished with some simple retrieves 😀

Happy spaniels early this morning, pushing birds out of the maize before the forager cut it all. Good timing as we were in that crop about 1 min before the machinery came in !!!

Finally, Moose came along to give a kick start back into his Gundog training following a move to Dorset! What a good lad ☺️

Lovely to meet the very sweet Henry this afternoon ❤️ He's just finding his paws with his new family, so we took things slow and chatted a lot, but we still worked on heel basics, the It's Your Choice game to work on the idea of not grabbing things 😀 We also worked on play with two toys to both bond, and also build the idea of our hands being a Good thing around desirable objects.
