🔹 “ When I left school I knew I wanted to work with animals !

I started a course that got me a placement at Belle Vue which was mixed , working with both small and large animals back then !

My favourite part of the job is chatting to the farmers and being part of a team ! “

🍰 Favourite snack ? cheese and crackers !

🏍️ What do you like to do outside of work? - I love walking my dog Russel and riding my motorbike 🏍️ 🐶

🔹 Leigh :

🔹 “ I started in 2005 as I wanted to work with animals and I did abit of everything , farm and pets !

When we were approached to go out on farm to vaccinate calves I found this is what I loved and the vet techs were born !

My favourite part of the job is the variety , one day we can be in the practice taking medication orders , organising calls and other days we’re out and about on farms ! “

🏍️ What do you like to do outside of work? - I enjoy walking my dogs in the countryside and doing the odd bit of baking ! 🎂 🐶

🐾 Meet Milo 🐾

As we're highlighting pet obesity this month, it only feels right to share Milo's incredible story again.

Milo is a 4-year-old Labrador who first visited one of our nurses in August 2025, weighing 49kg.

Since then, he has been on a carefully managed weight-loss plan, with regular check-ins with Emma to support his journey and improve his quality of life.

We're so proud to share that Milo now weighs 39kg - an amazing 10kg weight loss! 🎉👏 This fantastic achievement is a testament to the dedication of Milo's owners and the ongoing support of our nursing team.

❤️ A healthier weight can make a huge difference to a pet's mobility, comfort, and overall wellbeing. Well done, Milo!

🐾 Meet Arthur! 🐾

Many of you may recognise Arthur from previous posts, as he is one of our wonderful blood donors. Yesterday, Arthur attended the practice to donate blood for an emergency transfusion, helping to save the life of another dog in need.

Arthur has been a blood donor for 6 and a half years. 🩸
As he is now a senior dog, yesterday was sadly his final donation as he has reached the age limit for canine blood donors.

We would like to say a huge thank you to Arthur and his family for their incredible commitment and generosity over the years. ❤
