As we wrap up the outdoor 2026 season Dora was the only one on the lorry as Nora is having a well earned holiday being a pony whilst Lois picks up football, swimming and Hockey 🏒

After taking overall coloured last year at Stanhope Agricultural Show Dora's crown was back straighten out after last week's antics, winning both the inhand and ridden and taking the overall supreme 👌
£70 prize money 💰 £95 voucher and 2 x silverware!

There is a lot to be said about these amazing agricultural local shows,

No idea who the judge was ( need to go and look up) she interacted with every competitor, Brought all the juniors front line and rewarded them all with specials, shook everyone's hand in the championship and thanked every one of us for presenting our beloved 🐎

Bagpiper band
Carriage driving
Dog agility
Gun dog scurry
Tannoys
Vintage tractors

No pics but a beautiful one from last week

We are looking for Lois next step up of a pony, ideally fit the following before we start to compromise

* Mare
* Plaited
* Coloured
* 12.2 may go to 13h but no bigger
* up and running to do FR classes and take her into juniors
* would be wonderful if pops a fence
* buy, lease or loan

Once we find something and do a transition period the lovely Nora will be for sale however I may consider a lead rein jockey for next season as she is a true first lead rein that will step up to FYFR & Lois wants to do workers with her which she has a fantastic CV (although Lois is tall and strong so not sure how a tiny tot would manage as a FYFR as we haven't tried)

When you work so hard to battle your anxieties and confidence and you nail your First Ridden Final Show at the championships.

I am so proud, all done by Lois no gadgets hence a little pokey nosed but two canters for a kid that wouldn't come off the lead rein on Thursday! Kimberley Rose
