‼️WEATHER UPDATE (again)‼️

Once again the heat will disrupt services this week. Monday should be as normal but Tuesday-Thursday is looking super hot and walks are likely to be cancelled or switched to drop ins where needed. Hopefully returning to normal on Friday.
Everyone will be updated the day before but do get in touch if walks/drop ins are not needed on those days so I can prioritise those who do 🐾

Finally temperatures have cooled a bit and walking services will resemble normality this week. For afternoon walks we will be heading to shaded woodland and some may be reduced in time if it starts feeling too warm but everyone should be getting out ☺️

EXTREME HEAT WARNING FOR PET OWNERS ⚠️

Temperatures are rising, and our pets are at serious risk of heatstroke.

🐾 Never leave pets in a parked vehicle — even for a few minutes.
💧 Ensure fresh, cool water is always available.
🌳 Walk dogs early in the morning or later in the evening when it's cooler.
🔥 Avoid hot pavements — if it's too hot for your hand, it's too hot for their paws.
🏠 Provide shade and keep pets indoors during the hottest part of the day - Take extra care of those outdoor pets such as Rabbits 🐇
❄️ Use cooling mats, damp towels, or fans to help keep them comfortable.

🥵 Signs of heatstroke include:
• Excessive panting
• Drooling
• Lethargy or weakness
• Vomiting or diarrhoea
• Collapse or seizures
• High body temperature
• Bright red gums

If you suspect heatstroke, move your pet to a cool area, offer small amounts of water, and seek veterinary advice immediately! DON'T HESITATE 🥵
