🐱 Did you know I offer cat care too? 🐾

Over the past couple of months, I’ve been so lucky to have more and more gorgeous cats come into my care, and I’ve absolutely loved it. ❤️

I have two cats of my own, Rolo & Margot, so I know how important it is to have someone you completely trust looking after them when you’re away.

I’m confident with all the practical bits too — feeding, litter trays, medication and grooming — but just as importantly, I love getting to know their little personalities and giving them care and attention in their own home. Whether they’re a complete cuddle bug or prefer to pretend I don’t exist, I’m happy! 😂

I’ll always keep you updated with photos and messages while you’re away, because I know how much you want to know what your pets are up to when you’re not there. 🥰

I’m incredibly grateful for all the lovely cat owners who have trusted me recently, and I’d love to meet some more of your feline friends! 🐾

An update from me 💛🐾

I’ve had a bit of a wake-up call over the last few weeks. After a quite serious health scare yesterday, alongside everything that’s been going on with Ted, I’ve realised I need to make some changes and start making a little more time for myself too.

I absolutely love what I do. Looking after your pets is genuinely something I feel so lucky to do, and I’m not going anywhere — I just need to find a healthier balance so I can continue doing what I love for the long term.

For now, I won’t be taking on any new clients. My priority is continuing to give my lovely current clients and their pets the care, attention and time they deserve, while also making sure I’m building some rest time into my own diary.

I’ve always tried to be as flexible as possible and help wherever I can, but I’ve realised I don’t always give myself the same consideration. Going forward, I’d really appreciate as much notice as possible for any changes to walks, visits or bookings, as last-minute requests may not always be possible.

Thank you, as always, for your kindness, understanding and support. I’m so grateful for all of you and for the trust you place in me to care for your pets. 💛🐾

🐾 A little life update… 🐾

I’ve been a little quiet on here recently, and I just wanted to pop on and say hello.

Behind the scenes it’s been a bit of a difficult few weeks for my family, so social media has definitely taken a back seat. Despite that, spending time with all of your wonderful pets has honestly been a little escape for me. ❤️

Whether it’s countryside walks, home visits, cat cuddles or checking in on your pets while you’re away, I’m so grateful that I get to do a job I genuinely love every single day.

I also just want to say a huge thank you to all of my lovely clients. Your kindness, patience and support never go unnoticed, and I’m incredibly lucky to have such understanding people around me.

Here’s a little collection of some of the gorgeous faces I’ve been lucky enough to spend time with over the last few weeks. They never fail to make me smile. 🐶🐱🐾

Does anyone know anyone who may have emergency boarding availability from Tuesday onwards?

It’s for our pup Maple, I’m out sitting, our sons been in hospital for 6 days so far (my husband is there full time) and my parents go on holiday Tuesday.

We also have 3 other children, all 5 and under so incredibly stressed trying to juggle everything 😭

A little update from me 🤍

I just wanted to pop on and say the biggest thank you to every single one of you.

This past week has been one of the hardest for our family, and I honestly can’t thank you enough for all the love, understanding, patience and well wishes you’ve shown us. Every message, every kind word and every bit of support has meant more than you’ll ever know.

I’m so relieved to say that Ted is home (under the watchful eye of Maple 💛). He still needs ongoing monitoring and has further tests to come over the coming weeks and months, but having him back where he belongs is the biggest relief. It was a week that also saw our youngest celebrate her 2nd birthday and our twins turn 5, so although it wasn’t quite the week we’d hoped for, we’re just so grateful to have our big boy back home with us.

Through everything, I’ve done my best to keep things going for all of your wonderful pets, and I’d like to thank you for being so understanding if I’ve been a little quieter than usual or had to juggle things around.

Looking after your pets has honestly given me a little bit of normality when life has felt anything but normal, and for that I’ll always be grateful.

I really do have the loveliest clients, and I never take your support for granted.

A little hello from me, and a special introduction to the invisible half of Tailbound 🐾

This is my husband, Jack… and of course Maple, who wasn’t going to miss a photo opportunity!

Although I’m the one you’ll usually see out and about with your pets, Tailbound wouldn’t be where it is without Jack.

It was actually his idea to start the business. He knew how much I loved animals, how much I cared about giving them the time and attention they deserve, and he encouraged me to take the leap. I don’t think either of us imagined just how quickly Tailbound would grow, but I’m so glad he believed in me enough to give me that little push.

Since then, he’s been my biggest supporter. Whether it’s helping me juggle my diary, talking through future ideas, working out how I can fit everyone in, or simply keeping everything ticking over at home, he’s always there in the background.

We also have four wonderful children, all aged five and under, so life is beautifully busy! Jack is at home with them, which means I can give my clients the flexibility they need and dedicate my time to looking after your lovely pets. It’s definitely a team effort, and I’m so grateful for everything he does.

Then there’s Maple, our 5 month old American Cockapoo, along with our two cats, Rolo and Margot, who absolutely are the boss!

Starting Tailbound has been one of the best things I’ve ever done. Every dog walk, pet sit, cat visit and meet and greet reminds me why I love this job so much.

To everyone who’s trusted me with your pets, recommended me, or supported my little business so far… thank you. It honestly means the world to us.

We are excited to see what the future holds!

🌿A little snapshot of the last couple of weeks at Tailbound 🌿

It’s been a busy one! 🐾

I’ve just finished an 11-day pet sit with Rocco & Lola, two gorgeous Frenchies, while their owners enjoyed a well-earned holiday. ☀️

Rocco has epilepsy, so his routine included medication four times a day. He was an absolute superstar with every dose, and despite the heatwave (and a few 2am garden trips to help everyone stay cool! 🥵), they both settled so well.

Now it’s straight on to a last-minute emergency pet sit for a lovely returning client, looking after five rescue dogs and two cats. ❤️

Whether I’m out on a walk, popping in for a visit, or staying in your home while you’re away, my aim is always the same—to make sure your pets feel safe, settled and loved, while giving you complete peace of mind.

If your pet needs medication, has a few extra needs, is a little nervous, or you’d simply like someone who’ll take the time to get to know them, I’d love to help.

Thank you to all of my lovely clients for keeping me so busy and for trusting me with your amazing pets. It really does mean the world. 🫶🏻

After the hottest week and 0 pup walks it looks like we only have a week of safe temperatures before another heatwave 😣

Please please please let me know if anyone wants an early or late evening walk during the next hot spell (from Monday 6th July onwards) as slots will be limited ☀️
