We’ve been busy again with our newest arrivals! 🐾
Meet the beautiful babies from first-time mum Honey and Rupert. 💕
We’ve been a little quiet recently because breeding isn’t always as easy as people may think. We wanted to share a little behind the scenes, as some of you may have noticed that Manuka has been pictured with different litters of kittens.
This is also a huge appreciation post for our amazing girl, Manuka. She is one of our original queens and an absolutely incredible mum.
Unfortunately, Manuka’s own litter didn’t go as we’d hoped. At the same time, Jewel had a very large litter, so to help take some of the pressure off her, we transferred a few of her kittens to Manuka. She accepted them immediately and cared for them as if they were her own. They thrived during those important first few weeks.
A little later, Honey welcomed three beautiful baby girls. Although Honey gave them the all-important colostrum they needed, she wasn’t spending as much time with them as we felt they required. After careful consideration, we returned Jewel’s kittens to her, who welcomed them back without hesitation, and entrusted Honey’s three little girls to Manuka.
Once again, Manuka stepped up without a second thought, accepting them instantly and raising them with so much love and care. Now, at almost three weeks old, the girls are thriving and growing beautifully.
Breeding is full of highs and lows, and sometimes difficult decisions have to be made in the best interests of both the mums and their kittens. We’re incredibly proud of all our girls, but especially Manuka, whose nurturing nature has made such a difference to these precious babies. ❤️
We can’t wait to continue sharing their journey with you all as they grow. 🐱✨
