So proud of Shadow! 🐾❤️

Shadow came to The Bark Studio yesterday for his very first groom with us.

When booking in, his mum explained that he struggled being groomed on a table, both at previous groomers and at the vets, and asked if we could groom him on the floor instead.

With her permission, I lowered our electric table to its lowest setting and began the groom sitting on the floor with Shadow. Every few minutes, I gently raised the table a little higher, making sure he stayed relaxed and comfortable.

Before long, the table was at its highest setting... and there was Shadow, happily wagging his tail without a care in the world! 🥹

I was confident we’d eventually help Shadow feel comfortable on the table, but I honestly expected it to take several grooming appointments. To achieve this in just one session was incredible.

Every dog deserves to be groomed at their own pace. Sometimes, all it takes is a little patience, understanding, and letting them realise there’s nothing to be afraid of.

Well done, Shadow – you were an absolute superstar! ⭐🐶

Something we take very seriously at The bark studio, is the importance of your dog's first interactions with the grooming process, our relationship with your pup and their overall well being. We like to communicate with the owner on tips they can do at home as well as creating future plans for their first cut and when they would be ready. Piper, really enjoyed her time with us 🩷 so many pups come to us having bad experiences in the past and it breaks our heart that they can be very scared 🥺 please be assured every dog that enters our salon is well looked after
