🎃💨 The pumpkins have got windburn?!

😅 This was filmed at the peak of the recent heatwave, when we were barely feeling a breeze, and yet our giant pumpkin somehow managed to get windburn.

🤞 Thankfully, we brought in some extra protection with bales around the pumpkins, and so far, they seem to be doing the trick! I wonder what the weather has instore for the pumpkins next!

Are you the person who always knows what’s trending on TikTok before everyone else does? 👀

Do you have a natural energy and enthusiasm for social media? Are you constantly spotting things and thinking, “that would make a great Reel”? Do you know what people are actually watching, sharing and talking about online?

Then we might have the perfect October job for you!

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, creative individual to join The Patch MK team for our October season and help us capture everything happening across our daytime and After Dark events.

We’re looking for someone who:

📱 Has a genuine passion for TikTok, Instagram and social media
🔥 Naturally keeps up with trends, sounds and content styles
🎥 Enjoys filming and creating engaging short-form content
💡 Is bursting with ideas and spots content opportunities without needing to be told
⚡ Brings plenty of energy, personality and enthusiasm
👀 Understands what makes people stop scrolling
🎃 Is happy getting stuck into the October madness at The Patch MK
😄 Is confident enough to grab the team, performers and characters when a content opportunity appears!

You absolutely do NOT need to arrive with years of professional social media experience. We’re much more interested in finding someone with natural creativity, enthusiasm and a genuine instinct for social content.

This could be a brilliant opportunity for a university or college student studying marketing, media, content creation or something similar — but what you're studying matters far less to us than your personality and passion for it.

🗓️ Hours will mainly be weekends, selected evenings and throughout October half term.
This is a paid position.

You’ll be right in the middle of the action, capturing pumpkins, performers, behind-the-scenes moments, guest reactions and all those brilliant little things happening across The Patch MK that deserve to make it onto our socials.

We’ve been working on something rather special over the Bank Holiday weekend… 🎃🍂

Our giant photo frame has had a makeover!
Completely hand-painted with pumpkins, autumn leaves, flowers and trailing vines, it’s had quite the transformation ready for Pumpkin Season. 🧡

We absolutely love how it’s turned out, now all it needs is you!

Who’ll be getting their annual Patch photo here this October? 📸🎃

🏆 WE WON! 🎃

We are absolutely thrilled to have been awarded 1st Place for Best Non-Agricultural Trade Stand at the Bucks County Show 2026! ❤️

A huge amount of work went into bringing a little piece of The Patch to the show, so receiving this was such a lovely surprise and something our whole team is incredibly proud of.

A massive thank you to the Bucks County Show for having us, and to everyone who stopped by throughout the day to say hello, meet Angus, have a go at the activities, chat pumpkins and get a little taste of autumn at The Patch. 🎃

We loved meeting so many of you, including lots of familiar faces and the response to our stand was just brilliant.

And, of course, a very special thank you to the Patch team. From growing and harvesting the pumpkins to building, decorating, transporting and running the stand on the day, it really was a team effort. ❤️
