🐾💚 YESTERDAY AT THE CABIN 💚🐾
Yesterday was another lovely day of waggy tails, little achievements and lots of cuddles! 🥰

💙 Rusty the Cavapoo was back for his 3rd full groom, and I couldn’t be prouder! He can be a little nervous and vocal when he arrives, but with reassurance, cuddles, praise and treats, he settled beautifully. 🥰

Something that really made me smile… on previous visits Rusty struggled with the clippers on his legs, but this time he coped brilliantly! 🙌 His confidence is growing with every visit, and he was looking very handsome when Mum collected him. What a brave boy! 💙

🐾 Newcomers Boris & Gertie 🐾

It was lovely to welcome Boris the Schnauzer and Gertie the Schnoodle to the cabin for their first visit. Boris was quiet and nervous, while Gertie was much more relaxed.

Both were absolute stars on the table and in the bath! The dryer wasn’t their favourite, so I kept it low and at a distance, taking things slowly with plenty of cuddles, reassurance, treats and patience. ❤️

They both did amazingly well and went home looking gorgeous in their new bandanas! 🎀🐾 Mum and Dad were delighted. 🥰

✨ Yesterday LOVELY DAY AT THE CABIN ✨🐾

🌸 Lotus – Mini Groom 🌸

Beautiful 9-month-old Lotus was back for her mini groom, and we’re continuing to work closely with Mum to build her confidence. 🥰

She’s making lovely progress with her bath and dryer, and coped a little better with body brushing today too! 💕 Her face, paws and scissors are still challenging, and unfortunately the biting is still there, so safety remains our priority.

Mum kindly helped by assisting with tidying Lotus’s face, and we managed to tidy her rear paws too —all without needing a muzzle this time, which is a lovely little step forward. 🐾💗

There’s no rushing Lotus. We’ll continue at her pace, building trust and confidence one visit at a time. ❤️

💙 Ernie – Full Groom 💙
10-year-old rescue terrier Ernie was back for his 2nd visit and what a precious little gentleman he is! 🥹

Despite being nervous and quite shaky at times, Ernie was such a star. He calmly accepted his clip with plenty of treats and reassurance. 🍪

He was also unsure of the blower, but with gentle encouragement and cuddles, he soon settled and dried beautifully. A fresh bath, tidy face and paws and his smart bandana finished him off perfectly! 💙🐾

🐾💗 YESTERDAY AT THE CABIN — TWO VERY BRAVE GIRLS! 💗🐾

Yesterday morning I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Nibbles, a beautiful 14-year-old Maltese Terrier, for her very first visit to the cabin. 🥰

Nibbles was understandably nervous, so we took everything at her pace, with plenty of breaks, cuddles and reassurance. She was incredibly brave for her bath and dryer, although she was a little wriggly for her face trim! 🤭 We got there in the end and she looked absolutely adorable, fresh and beautiful in her pretty bandana. 💕

I loved seeing how happy she was to get a big cuddle from Dad at collection!

Then in the afternoon, lovely Belle the Cavapoo returned for another groom. 💕 Belle is also a timid girl, so lots of cuddles, reassurance and plenty of treats helped her through the dryer. She was such a brave girl and looked gorgeous when Mum and Dad arrived to collect her. 🥰

Both girls are booked back in for 6 weeks — I can't wait to see them again! 🐶❤️

From Nervous to Confident – Mya’s Journey ✨

Sweet Mya came to the cabin for her 4th full groom, and what a transformation! 🐾💕

When Mya first arrived, she was incredibly nervous and had previously needed to be dragged into the groomers. 😢 Her first visit with me was still a challenge, but we took everything slowly, with patience, kindness and lots of reassurance.

Four visits later, Mya is calmer, more confident and trusting the process. No more dragging, just a little girl who now feels safe in the cabin. 🥹❤️

This is why I do what I do — every dog deserves to feel safe, understood and cared for.

🐾✨ A LITTLE GIRL & TWO VERY GOOD BOYS! ✨🐾

Yesterday was a busy one at the cabin! 🐶💚

Sweet little Hettie the Toy Malti-Poo was back for her full groom. 💕 She can be a little nervous, especially when the dryer comes out, but with a gentle approach, lots of reassurance and her yummy treats from Mummy, she did brilliantly! 🥰

Then it was time for Nemo & Micky, our Springer Cross boys, back for their second Bath & Deshed. 🛁🐶🐶 Mum asked for their collar and bottom areas to be clipped as these are the spots where they shed the most.

Both boys were absolute stars and even had time for a little garden run before Mum arrived! 🌿 They looked super cool in their Harry Potter bandanas! ⚡️

If you want your dog looking, feeling AND smelling amazing… without the stress… here’s the simplest plan I’d follow:

🐾 Book regular grooming appointments (every 4–8 weeks depending on coat)

🐾 Brush little and often at home – even 5 minutes a day makes a huge difference

🐾 Don’t wait until knots turn into matting (this can be uncomfortable for your dog)

🐾 Get your pup used to being handled – paws, ears, face (this helps massively at grooming time)

🐾 Ask your groomer for advice tailored to YOUR dog’s coat and lifestyle

Consistency is the secret. A little effort regularly is so much easier (and kinder for your dog) than a big fix later 💙

Spaces fill quickly – don’t leave it too long!

Yesterday was a lovely day in the cabin with Oscar the Shih Pug in the morning and Pancho the Shorkie in the afternoon! 🐾💗

Sweet Oscar can be a little nervous, but he’s making such wonderful progress and is becoming more relaxed with each visit. 🥰 The dryer isn’t his favourite, so we kept it low and gentle, with plenty of treats for those tricky little paws! He looked absolutely gorgeous with his little tie. 🎀

Pancho was visiting for his 2nd full groom and was quite nervous to begin with. With breaks, cuddles and lots of reassurance, we worked at his pace. He found the dryer especially difficult, so he had plenty of cuddles while we gently got him dry. His legs and paws can also be tricky, so I carefully worked around them with scissors. ❤️

Both boys did amazingly, and their mums were delighted to see their handsome, fresh and gorgeous-smelling boys! 🐶✨

🐾 Pip's first ever groom! ❤️

Gorgeous 9-month-old Cavapoo Pip visited the cabin for his very first groom, and what a brave little boy he was! His beautiful shiny red coat is more Cav than Poo, so it stays lovely and straight. 🥰
We took everything slowly, from his first bath to drying him on a low setting with lots of reassurance (and plenty of towel cuddles!). He finished with a tidy of his paws, ears and tail—and Mum loved his smart little tie for his photo! 🩵
