When a cat is completely blind, they can live a relatively normal life. Take Eris here as an example. She’s blind in both eyes and yet knows exactly where to go in order to find her food, water and litter tray. She also navigates the house and stairs with precision. It’s incredible to witness.
Every visit, she’d be waiting for me at the door, seek out my legs and rub herself inbetween them, just as a cat with sight would. She’d stand nearby in the kitchen as I washed up her bowls and walk ahead of me to where her bowls would be placed. She knew where she was going. Oh and I wondered why the football was in a different place every visit. I found out whilst there once that she likes to play with it! See the picture of her and the football 😂
