Hoppy International Rabbit Day! 🐰

Today is all about celebrating our long-eared, fluffy companions and raising awareness of what rabbits really need to stay happy and healthy.

Rabbits are intelligent, social animals with complex needs – from the right diet and plenty of space to companionship, enrichment and regular veterinary care.

And when it comes to keeping your bunny happy and healthy, we’re always here for them. 💙

🐰🌿 THEO VS. THE GRASS SEED 🌿🐰

Poor little Theo came in to see us after a few days of sneezing… and we soon discovered he had a very unwelcome passenger up his nose! 🤧😂

A sneaky little piece of grass seed had managed to find its way where it definitely shouldn’t have. 🌱👃

Thankfully, our lovely Theo was an absolute superstar while we carefully removed it. 🥹💚 And we’re pleased to say that with his tiny intruder evicted, Theo can get back to the important things in life — eating, hopping and generally being a very handsome bunny! 🐰✨

🌱 A little grass-seed reminder: these pesky little things can cause irritation if they get stuck in noses, ears, eyes or fur. So if your bunny starts sneezing, rubbing or shaking their head more than usual, it’s worth getting them checked.

As for Theo… we’re hoping his next encounter with grass is strictly eating it, not inhaling it! 😂🐰💚

Get well soon, gorgeous boy! 🥹
Thank you to Theo’s owners for letting us share his story!

Just like us, our pets can be affected by seasonal allergens such as pollen, mould spores and dust mites - and autumn can bring its own triggers.

If your pet seems itchier than usual or you’ve noticed a change in their skin, paws or ears, don’t just put it down to the changing seasons. There are lots of ways we can help manage allergies and keep your pet comfortable.

Not sure if allergies could be bothering your pet? Speak to us. 💙

🌟 PATIENT OF THE WEEK – BOBBY! 🌟

This week’s Patient of the Week is the absolutely gorgeous Bobby! 🥹🐾

Bobby came in to see us after repeatedly attacking his own tail, leaving it sore and causing him quite a bit of trouble. After discussing his options, Bobby had his tail amputated — and honestly, this little man seemed so much happier once that pesky tail was gone! 🥰

From the moment he arrived, Bobby was an absolute delight. He was a total sweetheart throughout his stay, even when waking up from his surgery — something we all know can be a bit of a grumpy time! 😂

And his favourite thing? A good bum scratch! 🥹 His little stump would go straight up in the air as soon as someone started giving him some attention. 🐱🍑😂

Bobby was such a lovely boy and completely stole the hearts of everyone who looked after him. We’re so pleased to see him happier, more comfortable and enjoying all the fuss he deserves! ❤️

Well done, Bobby — you are a very deserving Patient of the Week! 🏆🐾❤️

As our pets get older, some changes can be easy to put down to “just getting old”. But changes in their health, behaviour or mobility can sometimes be signs that they need a little extra support.

We’re always here for them. Whether you’ve noticed something different or simply want some reassurance about your pet’s changing needs, our veterinary team is here to listen, check them over and help you understand what’s normal and what may need a little more attention.

Because getting older is a part of life - but your pet doesn’t have to navigate it alone. 🐾💙

Autumn walks can mean muddy paths, wet grass and plenty of things for our pets to pick up along the way.

A quick paw check after your walk can help keep them comfortable and spot any problems early. 🐶
