Our regular daycare days are a great way to give your dog something to look forward to each week, from making friends and enjoying free play to enrichment games, puzzles, bubble time and plenty of cuddles🐶

When it’s time to slow things down, our Paws & Relax area has cosy sofas and Doggy Cinema for those who fancy a little downtime. We can also accommodate quieter spaces, rest breaks and feeding throughout the day to suit your dog’s needs.

We’re getting busy, and some days are filling up fast, so if you’d like to secure your dog’s place each week on a regular basis, then please get in touch about booking set days in advance 🥰

Our Time To Pet community reaches a little farther than you might think. 👀🐾🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

This customer shoutout takes us across the pond to The Paw Path in Pembrokeshire, Wales! Their team recently helped local pet parents prepare for an especially busy week as the National Eisteddfod came to the region—a celebration of Welsh language and culture that marked its 850th anniversary this year.

And The Paw Path has plenty worth celebrating, too. What began as a one-person dog walking business in 2024 has grown into a nine-person team serving around 300 clients. 💚

Of course, we also need to acknowledge the three extremely important members of the team pictured here. The flower hats? Incredible. No notes. 🌼😂

FROM THE VERY BEGINNING 🐾💜

After yesterday’s anniversary post, I wanted to share a little more about why we started The Paw Path.

This was never simply about opening a dog daycare. ❤️

Mike and I wanted to build something together. Something that could hopefully give our family a more secure future and, one day, give Mike the chance to slow down after years of being our main breadwinner.

Mike has lived with a chronic autoimmune disease for many years and has been extremely poorly at times. In 2020, he became so ill that he spent 10 days in an induced coma and has undergone more than half a dozen major operations over the years.

Despite everything, he has always carried on working and looking after our family 💜

I wanted to try and build something that could eventually change that.

And if we were going to put everything into a business, I knew it had to be something I genuinely loved.

Dogs! 🐾💜

We started with an empty unit and built almost everything from scratch, with Mike, Malcolm and the kids all playing a part. There have been endless hours, plenty of stress, a LOT of money reinvested, broken vans 🙈 and plenty of moments where we wondered what on earth we were doing!

But there have also been incredible moments, amazing clients, awards, collaborations and so many reasons to be proud.

And now, one year after opening, we’ve just won the New Dog Day Care Service of the Year 2026/27 at the Prestige Awards!!! 🏆💜

When I look back at the empty unit and compare it to what The Paw Path is today, I honestly can’t believe how far we’ve come.

We’re nowhere near finished, and I’m sure I’ll find plenty more things Mike needs to spend money on 😂

But this was always about building something for our future, our family and our children💜

And of course, we can’t say all this without thanking our amazing families and employees for all the support and the hard work they have put in to help us make The Paw Path what is is today 🥰

ONE YEAR 🥹🐾

One year ago today, we opened the doors to The Paw Path Daycare Facility.

And when I actually stop and think about what it took to get us here, I feel quite emotional.

The Paw Path started with a dream, but making that dream a reality came with some incredibly difficult decisions.

I sold Bertie, my horse, my horsebox and my Jeep, and put everything I had into The Paw Path.

Selling Bertie was never something I wanted to do. He meant so much to me and, honestly, I couldn’t even cope with being there when he was sold. Mike had to do it for me.

It still hurts every single day.

But I believed so much in what I was trying to build that I was willing to make that sacrifice and take a chance on something I had no idea would still be here a year later.

And behind the scenes, Mike was working his own job and putting money from his wages into The Paw Path to help keep everything going and pay our girls while we built the business.

We really did put everything we had into this.

There were no guarantees. No certainty that it would work. Just a lot of hard work, belief and a dream that we desperately wanted to make a reality.

And somehow…

Here we are. One year of daycare🥹

These doors have since welcomed so many amazing dogs, and we’ve watched nervous dogs find their confidence, puppies grow, friendships form and so many of them become completely at home here.

There have been some incredible highs, some really difficult lows and plenty of moments where I’ve wondered what on earth we were doing 🤣

But there have also been so many moments where I’ve looked around and thought:

“We actually did this.”

So today isn’t just about celebrating one year of daycare.

It’s about celebrating everything that went into getting here.

To every client who has trusted us, supported us, recommended us and allowed us to care for your dogs…
