🐾 MEET THE TEAM 🐾

Emma graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Equine Science in Business in 2021, and has worked in small animal veterinary care ever since, going on to qualify as an Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) in 2025.
We were thrilled when Emma joined the Vets Tŷ Gwyn team in September 2026, having relocated to West Wales.

Emma enjoys all aspects of being a nurse, but especially nurse consultations, inpatient care and internal medicine.

Outside of work Emma is kept very busy looking after her many rescue animals including ponies, dogs, cats, ferrets, birds of prey, and lovebirds... 🦜

🐾Nurse Consultations🐾

A massive congratulations to Angel on her recent litter! All five of the puppies are happy, healthy and growing well at two weeks old now. Angel is a completely devoted new mother! 🐶

Remember that our nurses here at Vets Tŷ Gwyn are extremely skilled and knowledgeable.
Heather and Joe are here meeting the puppies, weight checking, discussing nutrition and vaccinations.

Nurse consultations are available offering:
- Nail clips.
- A**l gland expression.
- Second vaccinations.
- Dietary advice and weight loss clinics.
- Husbandry advice for small animals. 🐰
- Blood testing.
- Microchipping.

Whilst in the background our nurses are always busy looking after hospitalised patients, monitoring general anaesthesia, x-raying animals and keeping our vets on track!

This is a pay monthly plan that allows you to spread the cost of your pets preventative health care (vaccinations, flea and worm treatment, nail clips, etc.) evenly, throughout the year.

We've had a male dog handed in to us. He does have a chip but we are unable to get hold of the owners. If he is yours please contact the practice

⭐Manx Shearwater Birds⭐

This time of year Manx Shearwater Birds can become stranded on the mainland and are unable to take off again.

After his recent dental procedure with our team here at Vets Tŷ Gwyn, the lovely Joe (the Greyhound), has some news...

We are all very pleased that Joe won THIRD PLACE this weekend in the BEST SIGHTHOUND category at Greyhound Rescue Wales' dog show in Carmarthen!🎉

Well done to him- what a gentle boy with his shiny white teeth! 😁🐾

Friendly female, black and white cat found between Llandissilio and Llanycefn. No microchip.

Currently being looked after by one of our lovely clients! Please contact the practice if you know where she calls home. 🐾
