HAPPY UPDATE: Figaro/George Bush is now reserved ❣️❣️

Meet Figaro

Updated info on this little man. Thought by the vets to be about 6 years old. He is now initiating play with other cats so would make a lovely companion if you have a cat looking for a friend.

Figaro was initially called George Bush, named because he lived under a bush at the back of a butchers!! Although he dined daily on fresh mince and received much attention (which he craved) from every passerby, Mackenzie knew he was destined for a better life. We’re not sure how long he had been living there, definitely years, but he must have been in a home at some stage in his life.

Figaro is now in foster and he is an angel. Friendly, loving, confident, still craving attention and loves to play. He is living with other cats which he tends to just meet, ignore and do his own thing. Although not tested with dogs he did run from them when on the street. He is showing initial wariness with men but comes round once they prove they mean no harm.

Figaro will slot into any home looking for a loving, playful companion but Mackenzie says they will have to be special for her special boy.

So pleased to advise that William is now reserved

Meet William

William came into our care by default due to our response to a request for assistance in trapping a badly injured cat. This was by the person who had been feeding him for some time as they could see he was being bullied by the other cats in the area. After trapping and transporting to the vet the Good Samaritan declared they didn’t have the funds for his vet care or the facilities for his recovery. So he obviously had to come into our care with luckily a hastily arranged short term foster.

He was injured on his back end from either a dog attack or a fight with another cat that had then turned into an abscess but he has sailed through that and is now fully fit. William was never meant to be a street cat, he is a cuddle monster and loves attention. He shies away from the dog in his foster home and just ignores the other cats. At the moment he is struggling to adapt to indoor comfort and life so litter training is ongoing but he is getting there. He certainly knows what a comfy bed is or a willing knee to sit on.

William needs a quieter home with maybe some one to one attention. His new family would take pride and comfort in bringing him on to be the beautiful cat he should be. He still looks a little ragged round the edges but we can see a tremendous difference already from when he first joined us.

Are you the adopter who cannot pass by a waif and stray? Are you the adopter who could bring William into your life knowing that you can make a difference? Are you the adopter that William needs?

Thank you for all enquiries, the kitten is now adopted.

A lovely woman has approached us as for help. Off her own bat she has taken into loving foster a litter of kittens that were found in nearby fields. They are now of an age to be adopted and this little beauty is the only one left. Although we are not involved in any way we will gladly make the introduction with any prospective adopter in order for this baby to find their forever home.
