๐๐ด 9 years ago today, I graduated with a First Class Bachelorโs Degree with Honours in Equine Science! Itโs amazing to look back and see where that journey has taken me.
Nine years ago, I achieved something I had worked incredibly hard for: graduating with First Class Honours in Equine Science and making the Deanโs List in recognition of academic achievement, performance and determination.
I continued in education to complete my Masterโs Degree in Equine Science, continuing to develop my knowledge and understanding within the equine industry.
Then, the following year, NutriFEC was formed. ๐
What started with a passion for equine science has grown into an independent animal health business providing faecal egg counts, resistance testing, pinworm and tapeworm testing, parasite-control advice and weighbridge services for horses and livestock.
And this is something I think is important to reflect on when considering what makes NutriFEC different.
My academic background isnโt simply something that sits on a certificate. It forms the foundation of how I work with every client.
At NutriFEC, I donโt believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to parasite control. I use scientific knowledge, testing and an understanding of the individual animal, alongside the information provided by each owner, to help clients make informed decisions about their own animals.Iโm passionate about explaining the โwhyโ behind recommendations, helping owners understand their results and supporting them to develop practical parasite-control plans that work for their animals and their individual circumstances.
For me, itโs about much more than a test result or telling someone what product to use.Itโs about education, understanding, communication and giving owners the confidence to make evidence-based decisions for the health of their animals. ๐ด
Eight years on, Iโm incredibly proud that the knowledge and determination that helped me achieve a First Class degree and masters degree have gone on to form the foundations of a business I care so deeply about.
Thank you to every client, yard, professional, mentor, friend and supporter who has been part of the journey so far. ๐
Hereโs to everything that has happened since that graduation day โ and everything still to come. โจ
