Please help!

All morning I've been thinking about the MBR Beagles and how heartbreaking it is, I came home from my pop ins this morning, opened a drawer and found this letter, I haven't seen in over 3 years - I was 11 years old, I wrote a letter asking the government to step in and do more to stop animal abuse overseas, that was my sign...

All these years later, we're still allowing horrific animal suffering to happen here in the UK.

Hundreds of beagles are being bred and used in laboratory testing at MBR Acres. What's even harder to understand is that around 90% of drugs that pass animal testing still fail in human trials, meaning so much of this suffering is ultimately futile.

One of the best things about building Fetch & Fun has been meeting so many kind, like-minded people who absolutely adore their dogs. Together we've built a little community of people who genuinely care about animal welfare.

So today, I'm asking for your help.

Let's see what difference we can make from our little town of Weymouth.

🚨 URGENT DOG BLOOD DONOR NEEDED 🚨

Our beloved dog Daisy has recently been diagnosed with IMHA (Immune-Mediated Haemolytic Anaemia) and may urgently require a blood transfusion.

We are desperately searching for a suitable blood donor who fits the criteria below⬇️

❤️ Known blood type Negative 1
❤️ Must weigh 25kg or more
❤️ Between the ages of 1-8
❤️ Fully vaccinated
❤️ Fit and healthy and on NO medication

The donor dog would be require to give 1pint of blood in the Weymouth area.

If you think your dog might fit these criteria, please get in touch as soon as possible. This condition is life-threatening, and Daisy is currently in a critical condition, so we would be incredibly grateful for any help and support in finding a donor. ❤️🐾

💙 In loving memory of little Bailey 💙

This week, we said goodbye to Bailey.
Although I had only been walking Bailey for the last four months, I've known him for around two years as we often crossed paths on our local walks.

Bailey was a gentle Romanian rescue who found his way from the streets to a life filled with love, safety and comfort here in the UK with his devoted mum. I am so grateful he got to spend his life knowing what it meant to be truly loved.
In so many ways, he reminded me of Effy. His curly tail, his all-black nails, his stubborn streak...

Bailey was a total foodie and, if I'm being honest, our walks generally involved going wherever Bailey had decided he wanted to go that day. He was gentle, kind, wonderful with children, and completely devoted to his mum.

To honour his memory, we would love to support other dogs still waiting for their second chance. We will be collecting donations for Romanian Rescue Appeal, a charity that helps rescue and rehome Romanian street dogs like Bailey into loving homes here in the UK, while also funding spay and neutering programmes to help reduce the stray dog population.

From a street dog in Romania to a much-loved family member who touched so many lives.

Rest peacefully Bailey. You were deeply loved, and will be missed by many. 🌈🐾
