Today's gallery is in honour of my Dad, whom I heartbreakingly lost in the early hours of this morning. 💔

Dad was so proud of my role here. I would often hear him telling people, "My eldest daughter Alison owns the Weymouth cattery, Purrfect", with a beaming grin on his face.
Purrfect is a family business, which has grown with love, guidance, support & nurtured by all of our family.

I am still keeping an eye on the cats and cattery, which Roy & the staff are running brilliantly.

🌖 We are committed to serve your cats through these hot, busy days and are enjoying meeting some new visitors to the cattery experience.
We thought you might like to see what we do here....

Our workload consists of the following (order might change):

🔑 Unlock
🧹Prep & tidy the personal items for the first collections
📋 Register all the morning observations for every cat
🌡 Monitor temperature & adjust fans/heaters accordingly
👥️ Welcome owners collecting their cats & fill out paperwork/payments etc
💩 Empty, wash & refill litter trays
🍛 Feed breakfasts & refresh water bowls
💊 Administer & record medication
🐈 Pet the cats
🪣 Clean & mop all chalets & corridors
🫧 Wash up dirty food bowls
🧼 Deep clean & stock up empty chalets for new arrivals
🐈‍⬛ Pet/play with/brush the cats
👥️ Welcome arrivals & check-in their cats
😻 Help arrivals settle in
💩 Clean any newly used litter trays
🐱 Pet the cats
🥵 Repeat any/all of the above when necessary

And that is just the morning shift.
Amongst that routine we are answering calls, emails, WhatsApps, Facebook & private messages. We also treat visitors as friends, so often spending time with them. Registration of cat arrivals can take 10-30 mins, depending on their needs & how many instructions their owners give us.
We don't stop. The team rarely pause for a drink or chat.
Please bear this in mind when you are waiting to be seen, check-in or are getting disgruntled because we haven't answered your emails.
📞Phone calls are easier for us.

❤️ We love what we do & love meeting you all... but if you can make our workload a little easier we would be extremely grateful. For example:
* Pre-labelled bags & food containers & boxes with your cats name
* Pre-weighed food portions if they need to be measured
* Be ready with emergency contact info for Registration
* Clear notes & labelled boxes for medication
* Swift 'farewell' cuddles with your furbabies when you leave.

We will promise to dedicate our valued time with all your cats & make them all feel at home 🤗

Happy Sunday everyone! 🌞

Yesterday was International Cat Day, but we celebrate this every day! 🐱
We have a wonderful selection of puss-cats this week, so many unique characters. It's lovely to see them all settle so well into their holiday accommodation. 🐾😻

We are receiving lots of 2027
bookings now, which we are extremely grateful for. Keep an eye on the website over the next couple of months to see if we have any boarding or tariff changes.
