🎃 HALLOWEEN HAZARDS!🎃

As we leave the summer, we enter a new season of risks for our pets. This month, we’ll be highlighting a few of them.

First up - trick or treat sweets and chocolates!

As many already know, chocolate is toxic to our pets due to an ingredient called theobromine, which affects the heart and central nervous system.

The lesser known risk however is in sweets - aside from the high sugar content, some sweets contain an artificial sweetener called xylotil. This is extremely toxic to dogs, and requires immediate treatment to prevent life risking hypoglycaemia 🍬

If you suspect your pet has raided the sweet stash this October, make sure to phone us on 01305 784197 as soon as possible for advice 📞

Those early years bring a lot of change.
