Good afternoon , I just wanted to reach out as I’ve been receiving a large amount of messages recently asking if I am closing down Happy Paws and giving up grooming - NO I AM NOT!! I’m not sure where this has come from but I can assure you I am very much open and have no plans to close, i love my job 🐾
I have cut back yes and reduced my hours but i am definitely not closing down 🙂 Business is as usual 🐶🐕🐾Charlotte xx

🌡️ The heatwave continues 🌡️

With the heatwave continuing I really am doing my best, unfortunately my grooming room is wooden … so even with very good aircon the temperature struggles mid afternoon onwards as that sun warms my room. With a dog, driers going and myself it becomes very hot on top of abnormal outside temperatures.

This is not me being awquard … if I don’t work I am not paid! BUT If my room reaches 28 degrees plus my insurance is void, this is also very hot and dangerous - the dogs are my priority if a doggy passed out or became ill due to the heat in here I would never forgive myself.

If weather like this continues I will have to look at a new grooming room going forward but that won’t be this year, so for now I ask please be patient I am trying to work early mornings to accommodate and get everyone in safely where I can.

🌡️ With the temperatures set to soar again in the coming days I’m having to monitor the temperature of my grooming room carefully. As much as I have powerful air con, with the outside temps being very hot and driers going plus a person and a dog if my room gets above 26 degrees I cannot continue. This is to protect your doggies and myself.

Keep your doggies nice and cool over the coming days and please don’t walk dogs to me in the heat, it’s only 9:30am and already 26 degrees out there.
