Great progress with loki the border collie's car chasing reactivity.
When he first came to me he would be throwing himself and the handler at any passing car .
He's still not super comfortable with the cars but that's to be expected for a farm dog that now lives in a house on a busy street etc .
I'm not too concerned about him walking in front here as the loose lead is the priority.

Oakley the lab came to me for some training as he was quite reactive around dogs . After an assessment it was clear he was just a bit unsure and wasn't aggressive . Today I had him out with my dogs . After a controlled introduction by doing a parallel walk , keeping them side by side rather than meeting face to face , we had some fun down the beach off lead ( or on a long lead in Oakley's case ) . Oakley had a great time making friends and dropping some fears and hang ups around other dogs . His attitude totally changed to every dog he passed after he had a good play with the others . Well done Oakley!

Had a training session with loki the border collie today. We mostly work on his reactivity around cars but before that we walk, play and rest . After training we do the same ,play and rest .
Working herding games into his play helps settle his mind for training and for resting afterwards.

Are you having trouble with recalling your dog ? Especially in a high distraction environment, like the Glen, park , beach etc ?
Does your dog have a high prey drive due to their genetics , e.g spaniels, terriers , pointers etc ? Do they love to chase squirrels and switch their ears off while doing it ?
Get in touch and we can help train the dog to come back every time . Have your dog choose you over squirrels and be able to relax on your walk rather than scanning for other dogs , people etc .
This video shows daisy, a young cocker spaniel who will run through a brick wall to get to a scent or small animal. She just chased a squirrel up a tree and is now watching it , pacing on 2 legs , barking...
