CELIA CROSS GREYHOUND TRUST We are a small independent rescue devoted to sighthounds in need. Every hound who arrives becomes part of our family and stays as long as they need.

We provide safety, love, and dedicated care until they find a forever sofa to call their own. Celia Cross Greyhound Trust became a registered Charity in 1993, following a move to Sun Valley Farm, which is our home today. Sun Valley is based in outer Guildford on approximately 12 acres of stunning Surrey Hills countryside. Surrounded by woodland and rolling hillsides it really is heaven for our res

cue hounds. The kennels boast a fully enclosed 6 acre field where the dogs are exercised multiple times a day, as well as luxury kennels with under bed heating, soft fluffy duvets and access to their own outside run! Dogs are assessed on arrival and their lives put back together. Our dedicated team of staff and volunteers help many a traumatised hound adjust to a new and loving environment. We aim to heal not only physical wounds- some from the track and others that indicate prolonged abuse- but the emotional wounds that are not always immediately obvious. Each dog who comes through our gates is allowed to settle in at their own pace, and if they wish, will be kennelled with another dog so they can socialise, snuggle up and play just as dogs should. We work hard to make sure our dogs are happy, spoiled rotten and we strive to create a homely family feel in our kennels for our residents until they are ready to be placed into the right home. Sun Valley is in the safe hands of Jane Thompson. Jane has dedicated her life to dogs, working with them for over 30 years. She is supported by a board of fellow trustees, fabulous Kennel staff and an extensive team of valued volunteers.

I have some wonderful news for our beautiful little semi senior girl Dixie.
You may all remember me telling you how Dixie came back to Sun Valley after 7 years of being in a wonderful home, as very tragically and suddenly her owner passed away.
Well I’m absolutley thrilled to say that Dixie has joined another fabulous family who will treasure her deeply. Beautiful senior staffy James was thrilled to be introduced to Dixie and the two became friends immediately. So Dixie went off for a sleepover and has just stayed there. (Hence no real proper gotcha corner photos) Dixie has settled in very quickly and loves the company of James and the cat.
We are so pleased that lovely Dixie will now have the home life back she sadly lost so suddenly for her senior years.

The happiness just keeps on coming. Another one of our lucky hounds to find their family is our gorgeous Bobbi who has left us to start her new life with Brenda & Mike.
We know that our beautiful Bobbi who will now be known as Betty is going to have a wonderful life to look forward to with her family to guide her.

Let’s start with our beautiful Stanley who has left us to start his new fabulous forever life with ex Sun Valley boy Roux, Linda & Matt.

Gorgeous Stanley has certainly landed on all 4 paws with his new family, and simply had the best brig brother in Roux to guide him on his new life journey. We know the boys are going to create so much mischief together.
