Blessing your weekend with our three-legged angel, Ashanti 🥰

After undergoing a life-changing amputation of her right hind leg in 2023 as a result of an injury sustained before arriving at Five Sisters Zoo, Ashanti adapted incredibly well to life on three legs and has continued to thrive ever since.

She really is one very special cheetah 🥹💛

It seems our new meerkat mob have been enjoying life at Five Sisters Zoo! 🐾

We’re also pleased to report that the individual who arrived with an old nerve injury continues to do really well and isn’t letting his unusual movement slow him down.

There is just one thing missing… names! 👀

What would you call our five meerkats? Drop your suggestions below! 👇

Happy Friday from Shamen, our very handsome 21-year-old kinkajou! 🥰

Did you know kinkajous are native to the tropical forests of Central and South America and are sometimes known as ‘honey bears’? They get the nickname from their love of sweet foods such as honey and nectar! 🍯

Shamen arrived at Five Sisters Zoo back in 2006 and is now one of our longest-standing residents. 💛
