Day in the Life of a Veterinary BRM ๐พโ๐
A BRM day isn't officially underway until Alfie has had his morning walk, Nessa the Nissan is packed for the day, and I've got a coffee in hand ready to hit the road across the South West. โ๐ถ๐
Being a Business Relationship Manager at Cave Veterinary Specialists means no two days are ever the same, and that's exactly why I love it. While I'm out on the road most of the week visiting practices, one day a week I'm based at Cave, catching up with the team, planning CPD events, meetings, and everything happening behind the scenes.
A typical day looks a little like this:
๐ถ 6:00am โ Morning walk with Alfie before the day begins.
โ Coffee (or two!) โ Essential fuel before setting off in Nessa.
๐ฅ Practice visits โ Catching up with our amazing referring veterinary teams across Somerset, Devon, Dorset, and Cornwall.
๐ Calls and planning โ Chatting about referrals, upcoming CPD events, and how we can support practices.
๐ CPD prep โ Organising education evenings... and making sure there's enough cake!
๐ Life on the road โ Lots of miles, podcasts, coffee stops, and beautiful South West countryside.
๐ป Cave day โ One day each week I'm back at Cave, working with the team, planning future events, supporting practices, and catching up on all the behind-the-scenes BRM work.
๐ The best part of the job is building relationships with so many brilliant vets and nurses and helping support them through education, collaboration, and patient care.
Lots of coffee, lots of driving, lots of dogs and cats...
