The Ramblings of a dog trainer: Pain edition

This is a long video, I cut it down a lot, but there is so much more about the signs/ symptoms of pain in our dogs.

The ones I noticed with Bella-

•Coat pattern
•Excessive licking
•Chewing/nibbling at her back legs
•Reactivity increased
•Refusing to sit when asked
•Prey drive increased

And there were probably lots more.

If you've got a dog whos struggling with Pain/behaviour issues, what were the signs you saw that aren't your obvious limping etc.

Just some of the things Scurry dog has done for me and Etta!

It's incredible how much giving your dogs the ability to use their natural instincts, can create a happy well behaved pet dog!

Instead of stealing things around the house, she now only picks things up when asked, but also actually wants to give them to me! 🧦

Instead of getting distracted by wildlife, other dogs etc.. she can focus and listen. 👂

We are a team in work, play and life 💞

Sunday scent day‼️

We had lots of dogs go through different scent sports today and they all smashed it 😍

5 dogs went through a tracking intro, 5 dogs went through a scent detection intro, and then we had 7 dogs go through a search & rescue intro!

What an incredible day, your dogs noses are really something special 🐽🐕

We welcomed a new group of puppies this morning 🥰

They all did fantastic 👏
What we worked on-

•Recall
•Capturing good behaviour while walking
•Clicker mechanics
•Heel position
•figure of 8 loose lead walking
•Spoke about rewards

Cant wait to see what we get up to over the next 12 weeks, and how much these babies grow 🐾 ❤️

We had a little adventure today for our last day in North Wales.

We went and explored Dinorwig Slate Quarry.

It was incredible including seeing the goats that live on the edges of the slate mountain!
