Coffee, Cake & Kindness – £315.02 Raised for Macmillan!

We're delighted to share that our recent at Nurture Vet Hospital in Wells raised a fantastic £315.02!

£113 raised through online donations
£202.02 raised in cash donations

To put that into perspective, £305 could pay for a Macmillan nurse for an entire day, providing invaluable care and support to people living with cancer and their families.

A HUGE thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a success – our wonderful team who baked delicious treats, helped run the event, and of course all our lovely clients and supporters who popped in, enjoyed some cake and donated so generously.

A very special thank you to Courtney, our Senior Clinical Veterinary Nurse, for all her hard work and enthusiasm in helping make the coffee morning such a success. We really appreciate you Courtney!

Give Your Puppy the Best Start!

Got a puppy under 20 weeks old? Come and join our friendly Puppy School, run by the lovely Emma our registered veterinary nurse (RVN) and Sophie our training RVN on Wednesday evenings 6.30-7.30pm.

Those first few months are such an important time for your puppy. Our small, relaxed classes are designed to help you build the foundations for a happy, confident and well-mannered dog.

At Puppy School you'll learn how to:

▪️Socialise safely with different people, dogs, sounds and environments
▪️Practise essential skills including recall, loose-lead walking and polite greetings
▪️Build confidence through gentle handling and positive experiences
▪️Help your puppy focus around distractions and recover calmly from surprises
▪️Strengthen your bond through positive, reward-based training
▪️ Understand common puppy challenges including toilet training, biting, sleep and adolescence

Classes are kept small, with plenty of space and regular breaks so puppies don't become overwhelmed.

Beryl was in to see Vet Zara for her acupuncture last week… and decided the best place to wait was very patiently in the chair!

We love seeing our patients feeling relaxed and confident when they come to visit us.

Acupuncture can be a useful addition to conventional veterinary treatment, particularly for managing chronic pain and conditions such as arthritis and other musculoskeletal problems. For some pets it can help improve comfort and mobility, and many find the sessions surprisingly relaxing.

Happy !

Today we’re celebrating the wonderful reception teams at Nurture Vet Hospital in Wells and Nurture Vet GP & Dentist in Weston-super-Mare.

Our receptionists are often the very first friendly voice you hear and the first smiling face you see when you visit us. Behind the scenes, they’re also juggling phone calls, appointments, repeat prescriptions, messages and a hundred other things that keep our practices running smoothly.

We’re incredibly grateful for everything our reception teams bring to Nurture. Thank you for your kindness, patience, hard work and for looking after our clients, their pets and the rest of the Nurture team.
