Dirty Dog Diaries: A typical Saturday in the Life of me!

• Foxy rolls in something unidentifiable (but very enthusiastic)
• Muddy paw prints track across the hallway rug
• Arnie growls at Mabel who ignores him.
• And just as I sit down with a cup of tea, the fox poo aroma kicks in
Sound familiar?
We get dirty dogs. That’s why our shampoo bars aren’t just pretty scents and promises. They’re real-deal dirt busters made for real-deal pet lovers.
Whether it’s Mucky Pup, Woof Wash, Bug Off or Fluff & Buff, each bar is designed for a different kind of mess , but with the same heart-led care.
No more struggling with giant bottles, slippery hands, or “WHAT EVEN IS THAT SMELL?” panic.
Just a bar. A bath. And a dog who comes out cleaner, softer, and surprisingly calm.

Your dog is constantly reading your home.

The slippery floor. The narrow gap beside the sofa. The noisy appliance they avoid. The resting place that never quite feels safe.

Most of us stop noticing these details, but our dogs don’t.

I’ve created a free guide, 7 THINGS YOUR DOG NOTICES ABOUT YOUR HOME THAT YOU DONT, to help you see your space from your dog’s point of view.

It’s a quick, eye opening read with simple changes that could help your dog feel safer, calmer and more comfortable at home.

If you share your home with a dog, you need to read this.

Mud, apparently, is a personality trait.
At least in this house.
There’s something about spring soil that removes all dignity.
And honestly, I don’t mind the mud.
I mind what comes after.
That moment when you pick up a bottle of shampoo and think… is this actually safe?
Searches for eco-friendly pet shampoo bars for sensitive skin UK are rising for a reason.
People are tired of guessing.
Mucky Pup was created because I wanted something that could handle fox-poo-level chaos without stripping natural oils.
Activated charcoal for deep clean.
Bentonite clay to draw out dirt.
Sweet orange and lemongrass in safe dilutions.
It rinses easily.
It smells fresh, not synthetic.
It leaves fur soft, not dry.
Natural doesn’t mean ineffective.
It means considered.
Spring walks will always be messy.
Bath time doesn’t have to feel like damage control.

How to Choose Pet-Safe Aromatherapy
Not all scents are created equal... especially for sensitive animal noses.
When choosing home fragrances, avoid synthetic perfumes and essential oils like tea tree, eucalyptus, and clove, which can irritate or harm pets.
At Foxy & Ruby, we only use therapeutic-grade, pet-safe oils, carefully balanced for wellbeing, never overwhelming.
A simple rule: if it feels strong to you, it’s stronger for them. Choose gentle blends that calm, not cloud, your space.
