First dog through the door this morning was Jonjo the Cockapoo and he had his usual shortish trim. Next were housemate brindle Dachshunds Jaxx and Arthur, Jaxx is a regular but it was puppy Arthur’s first time today. He was bred from an experienced breeder who socialised and introduced him to different sights and sounds which has made him into a confident and inquisitive little fella 🐶❤️ Here he is lying next to his new bestie Rex 🤣

Couple of apricot coloured dogs yesterday and first in was Charlie the Doodle who has a short low maintenance type groom as she does a lot of walking around Marbury and sticky bobs and mud can get stuck in her coat. Next was Buddy the Cockapoo and he had a little stroll after his groom with me and Rex 🐾 as his owner can’t walk far at the moment. This morning Mae the Sprocker called in and she managed to stay awake this time after giving me a fright and nodding off on the table last time 😬 Last dog was Winston the Cockapoo and trimmed off a bit more fur around his head as per his owners instructions.

Don’t normally watch or share many videos but this did make me chuckle 😆

Just the two today and I’m not sure why Milo the Cockapoo is looking so guilty next to my strawberry 🍓 plant as it was Rex who scoffed the second crop of them last week 😬 After lunch 🥪 it was Simba, a Jack Russell Terrier cross and I usually go really short on him but his owner asked for a bit of fur to be kept this time so I used my 1cm comb attachment. Few days off now so it’s technically my weekend 🥳

Myself and Rex 🐾 try to be welcoming hosts and have a relaxed and friendly atmosphere in my grooming shed, however, today there has been tension and a few cross words 🤬 with my work colleague 😬 He’s transitioning between warm weather grooming when the shed door is thrown open and the sunshine ☀️ floods in and colder weather where the door stays firmly shut. He’s been in and out all day and tried my patience but we’ve made up with a hug 🥰 Despite this kerfuffle we’ve had a nice day and first dog this morning was Annie the Cockapoo for her regular trim. Next were housemates Monty who I give a short Spaniel type clip too and Millie the Maltipoo who has a 1cm comb attachment groom.

A family of three dogs to start the morning and they were Fern the Sprocker, Ivy the Labrador and Moss the Cocker Spaniel. Normally they potter between the kitchen, garden and shed but the weather was very showery ☔️ so we all bunkered up in my shed and listened to the big hailstones bouncing off the roof 😬 After lunch 🥪 Peggy the Maltipoo came along and she’s such a fragile little thing that I sometimes struggle holding her paws 🐾 and doing her nails but I succeeded this afternoon apart from one of her front dew claws which her Mum helped me with.

Day off yesterday but it suited me to groom Spyro the Husky in the afternoon, she freaked out the first time in the bath 🛁 but this second time she was 100% better 👍😊 This morning nice and early was Max the Cocker Spaniel and got a good dry on him today as I sandwiched him between the dryer and the blaster. Last dog was Bow the Cavachon and she had her usual short but not too short trim. Headed off then for a late lunch at the Hazel Pear in Acton Bridge where one of my customers dog lives and had a delicious 😋 meal.

Lots of dark coloured fur floating about my shed today and first one through the door this morning was Loki who had a medium ish trim. Rex always has a walk between groom one and two so as Loki’s house was on our circuit we walked him back home. Next dog was Pixie who is a Pug cross and while she was being groomed her owner took her Dad to the local garden centre cafe ☕️ Last dog was Ted the Schnauzer and I thinned out his beard as it was getting a bit bushy. Can you see Rex photo bombing in the top corner 😂

Poor Milo the Cockapoo and his owner turned up soaked to the skin this morning when they got caught in a heavy rain ☔️ shower. I usually strip Milo down with a 7 blade (3mm) but he didn’t have any tangles today so I kept him a touch longer using a 5F blade (6mm). Next was Lola the Shih Tzu and she is on foster, I’ve given her a bath 🛁 before but this was her first groom. Last dog was Milo the Shih Tzu, he tried to burrow his way out when he got here 😬 but when his owners arrived to collect him he was swaggering up and down the driveway 😂

Went away in my camper van 🚐 at the beginning of the week and this was the scenic view from my window 🤗 Back to it this morning and first dog was Charlie the Cavapoo for his regular trim. Took Rex 🐾 for a walk, pegged out my washing then started grooming Chester the Cockapoo only to see the heavens open and my washing get soaked 😬 Last dog was Bella, a Terrier cross and she always looks younger as when I clip her short most of the grey hair disappears.
