Wath updates
(Debs,Devan, Julie, Billy)
Hamble came in from Hickleton with a few ticks
And struggling to breathe.
She was started on everything we could give her, but too much too late for her. Poor Hamble.
Thank you to finders for your super generous donation. 🌈😭
Little Christina came in from wath only 223g, and emaciated. She also had 2 very deep maggoty wounds on her tummy. She sadly passed not long after coming in, despite cleaning and medication. Too much too late and the magggots had done too much damage. 😭🌈
Twiggy came in at 128g and she was just skin and bone too. She came in, got comfy and warm and took herself over the 🌈 so so heartbreaking to see them so young and dying. 😭
Iris came in from Thorpe Hesley at 471g , struggling to breathe. She has bad lung worm parasites but is still fighting bless her. Everything crossed we got her in time to save her.πŸ™
Tuesday came in on the verge of collapse. He has a nasty injury to on his nose which makes it hard for him to breathe.
He did make it to Wednesday though, so we have renamed him Stumpy, as his nose does look stumpy and it’s possible he has a genetic disorder causing Dwarfism or Pugnose. He is still battling on today . Come on little one. πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™
Big Betty came in via a wath carer Wendy and Serena,
In a road and very worried about her we have scanned for pregnancy and nothing showing yet. She also has a limp on a back leg but boy, can she run when she wants to πŸ™ˆ, she won’t eat and we are trying everything we have to keep her going , but she has the worst case of Adult round worms I’ve seen in a poo sample (see video below) you can see the eggs inside the adult tracking down, ready to be expelled into their system.
Poor girl, come on Big Betty- keep fighting πŸ™πŸ™
Denis 2 is an absolute menace and constantly yo-yoing with weights.
Come on Denis get with it and you can be wild and free πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ
Hoggy had had a good week with weight gainsπŸ‘ŒπŸΌ
Squeaky is still sneezy and wheezy and lots of πŸ’©πŸ’©πŸ’©
But made progress πŸ‘
Cricket is another juvvie struggling , not much progress and battling capillaria. πŸ™

Thank you to everyone that has donated , shared info and help us to help the wild hedgies.

28/08/2026

This is a request for help from all our hedgie helpers .... please leave out additional food and water as hedgies will need to start building up in preparation for hibernation
