It’s always harder when it’s your own dog…
After many years of running, chasing and playing, her little knee couldn’t cope with the rough playing of her brother.
Despite this, we were fortunate enough to happen just days before our favourite surgeon left on his long 6 week holiday.
When it comes to my own dogs, I am a bit of a mess… I watched every breath, every blood pressure and every heart beat like if every second was a moment of risk. Having my own nurse -
Olivia Stevens - monitoring the anaesthetic made it all a bit easier.
I won’t lie, I almost cried when Croqueta finally woke up. Suck a relief to see her wagging her tail again!
We give for granted how meaningful simple days with our loved ones are. How lucky and privileged we are to have such medical facilities surgeons and nurses.
Now rest, lots of laser therapy, time… and patience.
