So proud of these two! I’ve been fitting Tommy’s saddles since he was first backed and ridden. His owner Lucy felt it was time he had his first serious saddle and after trying a few we decided the best fit for Tommy, and the one Lucy also felt the most comfortable in was the Prestige Paris. And since his new saddle arrived they have been flying round the jumps.

Quick note to give prior warning - I am going on holiday to Croatia to my brothers wedding this Saturday till the following Sunday. I won’t be taking my work phone and therefore will not be contactable until my return to work on the 14th Sept. On another note I sent out all invoices Friday just gone but only a small handful have been paid. Please check junk folders and send payment asap, as chasing for payment isn’t fun or a good use of time. Hope you have all had a great bank holiday weekend.

We are excited to share that after much dedication and training Candice is now ready to start taking bookings and go solo!

Over the past year, Candy has been training with me, gaining lots of hands-on experience and developing the knowledge and skills needed to help horses and riders achieve the best possible saddle fit.

Candy has achieved her flocking qualification, undertaken her 3 day practical and passed her written exam with The Society of Master Saddlers.

As part of AD Saddlery Services Candice has access to all tools, bars, flocking materials, accessories and demo saddles required for fittings. Once our second hand stock gets going she will also have access to bring a range of second hand saddles too.

She’ll be working North Hampshire and Wiltshire. Message her more information or to book an appointment on 07394 019850

We are now accepting second-hand saddles on a sale-or-return basis.
Here’s how it works:
✔️ 20% commission on the final sale price.
✔️ Saddles should be under 10 years old and in good working condition.
✔️ If your saddle hasn’t sold within 6 months, we’ll be in touch to discuss the next steps.
✔️ If your saddle requires a full reflock before sale, we can carry this out for an additional charge.

It’s been a busy few weeks here but I have so many things to update you all on that it’s going to take a few posts to do so!

- We have a new website and booking process incoming
- Candice has completed and passed her flocking and adjustment qualification. She has also completed her final course and is due shortly to take the final Society of Master Saddlers practical exam.
- We are in the process of setting up a second hand saddle service. This will be Candice’s project and she will be taking second hand saddles in to sell on behalf of clients.
- Price increase to services
- A couple of exciting side projects in production, more info to follow later in the year on this.

All above points will have a full post with details to follow.

Update on fittings this week

With the temperature rising even further and a red warning issued we have taken the decision to cancel all fittings this week for the welfare of horses and ourselves.

I will be in touch with everyone booked in to reschedule.

Heatwave

Due to the extreme weather conditions forecast for next week I will be in touch with everyone booked in and give the option to reschedule.

If you have an appointment booked to try saddles this will have to be rescheduled as it will be too hot for any horse/pony to be trying multiple saddles.

After a few super hot days out fitting (with special thanks to Candice for being a trooper and helping me) I came home to the best news. I can now proudly say I have been awarded MASTER FITTER status with The Society of Master Saddlers. I do my best to work hard and offer a top service, because frankly, your wonderful horses and ponies deserve nothing less. Just want to say a big thank you to everyone who wrote references of recommendation for me, it means the world.
Off I go to stick on my new master fitter logo to the van!
