🇬🇧 🏆 DOUBLE INTERNATIONAL YOUNG RIDER WINNERS 🏆 🇬🇧

What a weekend at Wellington CDI 🇬🇧

We headed off to Wellington on Friday, and I have to admit, driving through those gates brought back some rather horrible memories. Wellington was where Kracka sustained his injury back in June 2025, so there were definitely a few PTSD flashbacks!

Going into the weekend, my only real wish was to bring home a happy, sound horse. To come home with not only that, but also TWO International Young Rider wins is more than I could ever have hoped for 🥹❤️

Yesterday, Kracka and Ruby produced a lovely Team Test to take the win by over 4%, followed by some fantastic fun in the prizegiving 🏆

Then today, despite never having ridden through the Individual Test before, they only went and WON that too, again by over 4% 🙌🏻🏆

Even more exciting is that there is still so much room for improvement, and we know there are plenty more marks to come from this partnership.

Kracka really is the most incredible stallion, and I honestly couldn’t be prouder of him. After everything he has been through, seeing him back out competing, happy, sound and enjoying his job means more to me than any rosette ever could ❤️

And of course, none of this would be possible without the wonderful Ruby. We genuinely couldn’t wish for a better rider to partner him.

Ruby is incredibly hardworking, dedicated and always striving to improve, not just for herself, but for every horse she rides. Her commitment and determination are second to none, and it is so lovely to see that hard work paying off.

Which brings me to a little favour… 🙏🏻

Ruby has been nominated for Best Young Rider at the Horse & Hound Awards, and I would be hugely grateful if you could all take a moment to vote for her. She works so incredibly hard and thoroughly deserves the recognition.

🗳️ PLEASE VOTE FOR RUBY HERE:

Finally, a massive thank you to everyone who has played a part in getting Kracka back to where he is today, and to everyone who has supported and helped us throughout this weekend. We are so grateful.

From injury heartbreak at Wellington in 2025 to a double international victory at the very same venue in 2026… what a difference a year makes 🥹❤️

So proud of this very special horse and his equally special rider 🫶🏼

My Horse of a Lifetime 🥹🫶🏻❤️

Kracka continues to keep making my dreams come true 💭

He and Ruby absolutely smashed it today, scoring an amazing 70.118% to come an incredible 4th out of 41 starters in the PSG Gold at the British Dressage National Championships 🤯 🥳

So so proud of this duo, and extremely grateful to the Dream Team who makes it possible 🥰

🙌🏻 HANOVERIAN APPROVED 🙌🏻

We are incredibly excited and proud to announce that Kracka is now officially Hanoverian Licensed and Approved 🥳🇩🇪

After successfully passing his veterinary examination, including a full set of X-rays which were submitted to and approved by Hanoverian, Kracka attended The British Hanoverian Horse Society Annual Show yesterday, where he was assessed both in-hand and under saddle.

And he didn’t just get licensed…

🏆 KRACKA — CHAMPION STALLION 2026 🥇

To have Kracka awarded Champion Stallion is an incredible honour and something we are unbelievably proud of. His approval also means that his foals will now be eligible for full pink Hanoverian passports and papers 🩷

A huge thank you has to go to Kracka’s breeder, Philipp von Thaden, and to Denise Mitchell at Gamblethorpe Hanoverians for finding Kracka and importing him.

Thank you to GSH Dressage for backing him, and to Henry Boswell, Virginie de Senneville and Ruby Hughes for riding him throughout his journey.

Also a massive thank you to Aron Tyler, the best farrier ever; Nikita Canot for the ETT; and Millie McBride for the physio. It really does take a team! 🫶🏻

And an extra special thank you to Team Hughes, Ruby and Jonny for preparing and presenting Kracka so beautifully yesterday while I’m away in Canada 🇨🇦

Finally, thank you to everyone who has supported Kracka and believed in him along the way 🫶🏻

We couldn’t be prouder of this very special horse.

🏆 PSG Gold Regional Champions 🏆

I still can’t quite believe I’m writing this… 🤯

This morning at the Vale View Regional Championships, Kracka and Ruby were crowned PSG Gold Regional Champions 🥳 with a huge 72.6% in a massive and strong class 🙌🏻

Not because I ever doubted they had the ability, but because this time last year Kracka was on box rest with a front suspensory injury. We had no idea whether he’d make it back to competition, let alone return better than ever.

What this incredible stallion has achieved is nothing short of remarkable. He gives absolutely everything every single time he steps into the arena, and today he proved once again just how special he really is!

Then there’s Ruby. She has worked unbelievably hard to get here. She has ridden Kracka since she was just 15 years old, taking him from Medium all the way to PSG, and now, at only 18, she’s achieved this incredible title with him. I honestly couldn’t be prouder of what they’ve accomplished together 🫶🏻

To make it even more special, Kracka has also been standing at stud and doing breeding collections throughout the summer, proving that not only is he exceptionally talented, but he also has the most phenomenal temperament.

This journey has had its fair share of setbacks, tears and uncertainty, which makes today mean even more. To see Kracka back doing what he loves, and to see Ruby rewarded for all her dedication and hard work, is something I’ll never forget.

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us throughout this journey. It truly takes a team, and we’re so grateful to every single person who has played a part ❤️

Here’s to whatever comes next… 🥂✨

A smashing lesson with Carl this afternoon in the sun ☀️

Ruby and Kracka are really consolidating the PSG movements now. Still some work to do on the canter pirouettes, but slowly and surely getting there 🙌🏻

⭐ Superstars ⭐

Kracka and Ruby gained an incredible 7th place in the Young Horse PSG at Hartpury this afternoon and have qualified for the Gala Evening 💃 🕺

Not going to lie that it was a very pleasant surprise as there are still lots of green moments, but there was also a massive improvement since their last outing 🙌🏻

Thank you to everyone involved ❤️

⭐ PSG Gold Regional Qualification ✅ ⭐

It was not the most successful day on paper today, but it was a really good outing as the good bits of the test were amazing. Just a few too many green mistakes really knocked their score down and the judge used the whole range of marks 📋

Regional Qualification was gained which was brilliant, and Kracka loved being back out again, which is most definitely the most important thing. He was so happy and he adores Ruby, they make an incredible partnership 🥰
