A rare chance to attend a training day with Sally Richardson, WEDGNOCK GUNDOGS, at a stunning ground 15 minutes from junction 11 of the M40, Banbury/Northampton. (Retrievers only)

Rolling hills, cover crop, water. Walk up and static exercises with an A Panel retriever judge, with 30 years of experience with Golden Retrievers and Labradors

10am to 4pm, tea, coffee and cake provided. Bring your own lunch
£90 with a £25 deposit to secure the place.

These days are normally only available to a private group.
Good novice dogs and open dogs ideally.

He judged the IGL Retriever championship in 2023
He has made up 5 Field Trial Champions and been placed at the championship

Access to my training days, workshops and residential holidays is through my private page.

To get invited to this page, you can come to Wedgnock in Warwick for a 121 or bring a group of six.

I am an A panel retriever judge with over 25 years of working and competing golden retrievers and Labradors.
I have made up two FTCH, and won novice trials and gained open awards with all of my dogs.

My husband, Steve, has made up five FTCH, is an A panel retriever judge and has judged the retriever championship, as well has being placed in one.
He has represented England with three different dogs.

I’m hoping to bring my website up to date soon, my skill is working with people and dogs, technology is a little lost on me!

I have lots to update however.

I will soon be publishing workshops for retrievers at Wedgnock, and for the first time, I will open them up to anyone following my page, rather than just on my members group.

I haven’t posted anything for a long time, so I thought I’d show you the dogs I’m currently training myself.

Tully (Emmanygan Damson of Wedgnock) 4 years old, is my open dog. He will continue training this year, with a view to some tests and trials this year

Elmer (Grovery Prime of Wedgnock) 22 months, has been a puppy for a long time so his training has been slow and steady. He’s coming on well now though so I will hopefully (time permitting) enter him in some tests this year, with a view to novice trials.

Caleb (Betscalo Esgaroth of Wedgnock) 17 months, is a star. Very fast and stylish and I’m really enjoying him. He will do some novice tests this year, with a view to trials.

I have some places on workshops for retrievers.
9.30 for a 10am start, finish around 3.30. £70 for the day with a £25 deposit on booking.
Dogs must have a complete retrieve and be of sound temperement.

I am getting a lot of enquiries about joining my group training days and residentials
I generally only allow people to book on group days once I’ve seen them for , at least, one 121 lesson.
The reason is that I want to know the level of all dogs attending groups so that I know they will fit in and also be able to manage.
It’s the best way for group training in my opinion, I’m not being difficult.
