For many pets, the answer is yes.

When a companion suddenly disappears, they can be left confused and searching. Allowing them to see and smell their companion may help them understand that something has changed.

We can’t know exactly what they understand, but they feel love, attachment and loss too.

Sometimes, being there for the goodbye can help them in ways we may never fully understand. 🐾🤍

Remembering Hazey🤍
She spent her happiest days on the farm with her sister, Ellie.
We were touched to hear how, when Hazey went missing, her owner searched for weeks and never gave up hope until they were finally reunited.
She brought so much love and will always be remembered.
Rest peacefully, beautiful girl. ❤️
