🌈 🪽Unfortunately we have had a deceased grey/white domestic long haired neutered male cat brought in to the practice. He was found on The Cresent in Lymm and is microchipped. Contact has been attempted but unsuccessful, if you believe this is your pet please contact the practice.

Today we celebrated Vet Hannah before she begins her maternity leave and prepares to welcome her baby boy!💙

Did you know that one of the many incredible roles of a veterinary nurse is working as a phlebotomist?💉🩸

Veterinary nurses are highly trained in safely and carefully obtaining blood samples from a variety of sites, including the jugular vein in the neck and the cephalic vein in the forelimbs (as pictured)🐶

Another example of the skills veterinary nurses bring to our practice every single day 💚✨🐾

☀️🐾 Hot weather warning for dog owners this week 🐾☀️

🚨🐾 Know the signs of heatstroke 🐾🚨
• Excessive panting or struggling to breathe
• Drooling or thick saliva
• Lethargy, wobbling, or collapse
• Vomiting or diarrhoea
• Bright red gums or tongue

☎️If you notice these signs, it’s an emergency, contact us immediately on 01925 445500

⚠️If it feels hot to you, it’s even hotter for them!
Please:
• Walk early morning or late evening only
• Check pavement temperatures (if it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for paws)
• Keep walks short or skip them altogether
• Make sure your dog has plenty of shade and fresh water

When in doubt, skip the walk!
Missing one won’t harm them, but heatstroke can🐶💛
