Nala update….

Everyone is kindly asking how Nala is getting on so I thought id fill you all in.

It is strongly believed by multiple vets that she has HOD disease. This is a growing disease that causes inflammation which is sadly extremely painful for them and can cause fever illness.

Unfortunately, she hasn’t responded to stronger painkillers. Yesterday was tough as she was really struggling to walk/move and was clearly in a lot of pain.

So our vet has now decided to treat Nala with strong steroids. If this doesn’t work then we have to go down other routes and more testing. But hearing how other HOD cases respond to this treatment I am very hopefully Nala will soon improve!! Hopefully her little tummy agrees with the meds!

Thank you to everyone who has constantly checked in and shown the girls love. They are so loved by you all and it’s just the sweetest thing

Can’t wait to see all your fur babies and give them the same love 🧡🤎

Update of the girlies as you have all kindly been checking up on them… TheGroomersGoldens

Nala currently looks a little like a jigsaw puzzle and Mabel’s bum feathers have completely disappeared 😂 Don’t worry, they will grow back!

Mabel had an episioplasty procedure to help with recurring irritation and infections. Her procedure went really well and just two weeks later she’s pretty much back to normal. She had the best care imaginable from the vets and is back to greeting all of you lovely lot. 🤎

Nala’s journey is a little less straightforward. She’s been having episodes of lameness and discomfort which we initially hoped were simply puppy growing pains. At the moment, because she’s still growing, we don’t have a definite answer as to what’s causing it or what it may mean for her longer term.

She’s now being referred to a specialist orthopaedic team for further investigation and, for now, we have a plan to manage her and keep her comfortable. Only time, careful management and a bit more investigating will tell us exactly what we’re dealing with.

She does have flare-ups where she feels pretty yucky, but between them you best believe she is still the same cheeky little puppy landshark we know and love 😂🦈

Whatever happens, we’ll do everything we can to keep her happy, comfortable and doing all the things she loves. 🤎

Would I still have a Goldie, you ask? ABSOLUTELY!!! 😂🤎

Welcoming Maple to the Tame my Tail gang. Photos don’t do justice for how cute and tiny Maple is!

She was such a good girl for her first puppy groom. She even fell asleep at the end whilst trimming her fur 🥹

Hi everyone, thank you to everyone who has rescheduled their appointment.

Mabel had surgery last week (nothing major, she’s happy and healthy) but just
struggled with recovery so we are having to watch her like a Hawk.

Unfortunately, Nala has also been unwell and we are having to have her tested. We are praying for positive news.
It comes and goes in waves. So I may need to reschedule at last minute and I may be a bit slow replying. But I want to give you at least a heads up so it’s not a shock if I have to cancel/ reschedule.

Thank you so much for your understanding and patience.
