Another year as an accredited Clinical Animal Behaviourist 🐾
Being a part of the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors - APBC is something I’m proud to renew, but more importantly, it’s a reminder of why professional standards matter so much in our industry.
Animal behaviour is a complex field, and the advice we give can have a huge impact on both animals and their people. Accreditation isn’t just a title — it represents training, knowledge, ongoing professional development, ethical practice, and a commitment to working within evidence-based standards.
There are many voices offering behaviour advice, but qualifications, skills, experience and professional accountability matter. As an industry, we should be striving to uphold high standards and continually develop our knowledge for the benefit of the animals in our care.
