Date for the diary - Sunday 5th July - annual farm ride. The one day each year when we open up the whole farm for a hack type ride for all abilities in escorted groups, optional XC fences for the experienced. £60 on a SWEC horse/ pony, £40 on your own - spaces filling up fast so book your slot early or miss out!!

A round-up from Pepe’s first week to show how much he’s grown. Foals really do put human babies to shame!!

Doris really went through it after the birth with an impaction colic and Pepe was brave for his bloods as well as all the walking and watching his Mum go through various treatments.

We really hope that Doris will continue to improve from here. Her strength and maternal instinct have been truly touching. Pepe is thriving and that is down to her amazing resilience.

Thank you to everyone who has helped me with night checks, vet visits and bloods to Liphook as well as the suppprt for keeping SWEC running. Massive thanks to Fernanda and Meagan . What a week!

Doris has had a better day so far and we are hoping she’s on the up but she still needs a lot of special care and attention and quiet time with her boy. He is growing by the minute, inquisitive, energetic and cheeky and we have named him Pepe as he is so full of pep!!

What a 24 hours!! We thought Doris had given birth to a filly but we were checking at 3am. The fabulous feisty foal is a c**t! Doris has also need vet treatment and special care for an impaction colic which is ongoing. Not much sleep for anyone yet!!

Doris gave birth to a lovely c**t foal around 2:30am this morning. Both doing well. This first 24 hours is just about them both feeding, resting and bonding. No name or anything yet but we will update and post videos. The fabulous Fernanda will come and give her a first check this afternoon 😍

Whiskey Jack - stronger and more confident by the day. We are combining lots of ridden training, varying from field hacks to some schooling, with long reining, loosing, work over ground poles and for the first time today - a jump loose! What a cracking youngster with a super attitude 🥃
