Results from the Equi-rider Riding Cup 2025-26 are in and we have Mia and Hector third in the Equi60 Showjumping. Then in the Dressage Inititaion class we have Grace and Jodie in šŸ„‡ place šŸ„³ and then me and Clyde third.

Brilliant results and great riding and fun from all! We look forward to more fun in the future

Whatā€™s a fabulous summer show weekend it was. Bear gave us all a fright with an impaction colic but thankfully heā€™s much brighter now. Special thanks to Margo from Nova Equine Vets. Once again it was a fun-packed weekend with exceptional teamwork, impressive riding and more than anything some ponies showing how much they love their jobs!!

Fabulous trip out today for Wh***ey and Lottie. Huge thanks to Secret and Ali for taking them. Such a treat, a ten mile escorted ride by the Staff College Drag Hunt. Wh***ey went over a motorway bridge, through an underpass and over his first hunt hedge! He was admired by all and took everything in his stride. They even stopped for two pub breaks! Happy days šŸ¤©

A truly fabulous farm ride and not too hot. Lots of first time hack riders and some of the younger beasts enjoying their first farm ride - Casper, Bess and Wh***ey. Also brilliant to have Bear and Daisy back as fully part of the SWEC squad. We were booked out as ever so sorry to those who missed out but thank you all for making it an amazing event. Bring on the summer show - August 1st and 2nd šŸ˜ƒ

Itā€™s SCORCHING! Constant work to keep them cool and lots of staff needed still without lessons. If anyone can drop off apple juice (the cheap concentrate kind), carrots, apples or table salt - we are constantly making ice lollies for the ponies and encouraging them to drink with apple juice and salt.

After a nine month rehab holiday Mario came home this evening and Tigger left early this morning to keep Rupert company at Leeds Weylands for the summer (photos in reverse order from today!)

All ponies will be back at SWEC before the bad weather comes in again but in the meantime Rupert is loving his Leeds education, Tigger will love the fuss and doing some gentle work, and Mario is looking absolutely fantastic and ready to start the next stage of his rehab. Thank you so much Emily ā€œEarwigā€ and her support team.

Mario will isolate first but itā€™s good to have him home - his eyes will be popping out when he sees Pepe walk out tomorrow morning šŸ¤©
Finally huge thanks to Victor for travelling both ponies so well and with a fan on so they werenā€™t too hot

Date for the diary - Sunday 5th July - annual farm ride. The one day each year when we open up the whole farm for a hack type ride for all abilities in escorted groups, optional XC fences for the experienced. Ā£60 on a SWEC horse/ pony, Ā£40 on your own - spaces filling up fast so book your slot early or miss out!!

A round-up from Pepeā€™s first week to show how much heā€™s grown. Foals really do put human babies to shame!!

Doris really went through it after the birth with an impaction colic and Pepe was brave for his bloods as well as all the walking and watching his Mum go through various treatments.

We really hope that Doris will continue to improve from here. Her strength and maternal instinct have been truly touching. Pepe is thriving and that is down to her amazing resilience.

Thank you to everyone who has helped me with night checks, vet visits and bloods to Liphook as well as the suppprt for keeping SWEC running. Massive thanks to Fernanda and Meagan . What a week!
