Check out this amazing feedback from one of Emma’s cub scouts visits earlier this month!

“I wanted to drop you a line to say a huge thank you for the fantastic session which Emma delivered yesterday at my Cub Scout meeting. But don't take my word for it, here are some of the messages I received afterwards from the parents

Dougie hasn't stopped talking about tonight, he absolutely LOVED it.

What an amazing evening, Eli is on a high.

Feliks loved it and they're the luckiest children because they got to meet a pancake tortoise of which only 5,000 are left in the wild.

Jasmine loved being around these animals, thank you for the opportunity.

What was particularly special was how Emma tailored the theme around teamwork.

I am sure you will get some of our Cubs visiting again during half-term, I hope so anyway, and we'd also love to have a repeat visit in the future.

Many thanks again”

Did you know we can theme our talks around whichever badge your cubs or brownies are learning about?

You can find out more about our onsite and offsite visits please check out our education page (again link in our bio!)

Or by sending us an email on our dedicated education email at [email protected]

🐾 Today is our home education day at Cedars Nature Centre and our our primary session is fully booked!

🐍 Please note, these sessions are prebook only and you can only attend with a ticket. This is to help us manage numbers and our craft each month.

🦔 We often have people asking to purchase tickets on the door but you will not be able to do so as it is fully booked.

🕷️ Each ticket entitles you to 1 child and 1 adult.

🦂 It will take place in our indoor classroom, this is why we have limited tickets to only 20.
It ensures that everyone has enough space and time with the animals.

🐢 Thanks and we hope those of you who are booked onto the session have a great time!

How cute is this little pumpkin!❤️

September was the first month back for schools and so it’s time for Septembers education round up!

Although it was quiet on the school visit front as schools went back it was anything else but quiet on all of our other educational sessions!

We launched two major events at Cedars Nature Centre in September.

Science Rangers!
Ranger Emma our education officer launched our first Science Rangers Club, this is a weekly animal club aimed at children aged 5-11 years that meets every Saturday at 1-2pm!

The 26th September was our first ever club and children met lots of animals in our brand new classroom (Ranger HQ!).
Building on its success we have now added sessions to our website all the way through to 2027!

To book your session please follow the link in below!

Science Rangers - https://www.cedarsnaturecentre.co.uk/sciencerangers

Birthday Parties !
We also launched our brand new birthday parties both onsite in our indoor classroom and offsite at your choice of venue!

For ages 7 years plus, these have been very successful with parties onsite and offsite!
Why not host your party at Cedars Nature Centre? Our indoor classroom is warm, even in winter!

To find out more please follow the parties link below!

Birthday Parties - https://www.cedarsnaturecentre.co.uk/animalparties

Plus so much more!
We also provided talks for Brownie and Scout groups this month! We can provide general animal talks or even specific badge related talks!

Not to forget our home education groups, in September these were all about animal adaptations!
Don’t forget our next home education day is the 22nd October and it’s all about Animal Defenses!

This months session is nearly fully booked so don’t delay and check out the link below too!

Home Education Sessions - https://www.cedarsnaturecentre.co.uk/homeeducation

Plus we continue our 1:1 alternative provisions, we hope to increase our alternative provisions over the next year too!

Wow! What a month!

If you think your school, organisation or group would be interested in our education team visiting then get in touch.
