This is Hugo, came into our care officially this morning, though we’ve been trying to sort things for him for a few weeks. He’s about 5 years old. He will be neutered and chipped mid next week, then move to a proper foster placement. He is well known in howdon and has been going to a lot of peoples’ houses for a while. Once he’s vaccinated and health checked, he will find a home of his own.

We’ve had so many new followers this week! Thanks so much.

Could we maybe use our new followers to get two of our harder to rehome cats perfect matches? Both are tuxedo (hardest to rehome) and both need to be only pets (no, we’re not being awkward, we’ve tested both).

Stottie (left and top right) is just under a year old. She came in with her 5 kittens and had probably been living outside for a while. She is nervous of new people but has tremendous potential. She loves a laser pen and company (but from a distance at first). She has zero aggression in her and will be a lovely pet. Fine with kids over 10. Spayed, chipped and vaccinated.

Dennis (middle and bottom right) came to us last November. He had previously lived in an overcrowded shelter for 8 years. His foster carers have been working incredibly hard with him and can now briefly stroke him. He also has tremendous potential. He has loads of character. He will try to steal your food and likes to be around you but isn’t confident with being touched yet. He is scared of new people and will be a slow burn. Neutered, chipped and just had a full dental.

Please share if you can’t adopt - both ready to leave and both absolutely worth the effort. Checks and fees apply. Both available to visit in foster care. Message for more info. Indoors only, as always

*Disclaimer - just because they’re hard to rehome, doesn’t mean we’ll send them to homes that won’t suit them. We have a very low return rate and this is for a reason. Won’t apologize for being fussy. Thanks for understanding*

Susie has now also moved to a more permanent foster space, while we sort out her vaccinations. She’s nervous about how much her life has changed recently but will settle quickly. She’s a lovely girl.

Flecks, saying goodbye before heading to his new foster home. He’ll stay there until he’s had a dental and recovered, before looking for his forever home. A lovely boy.

Panini, Toast, Waffle and Crumpet were neutered today. They’re now ready for their forever homes on 20th this month. Enjoy the super cute photos of waffle and crumpet on their travels. All 4 were very well behaved babies. Massive thanks to Darlington Vet Clinic - would massively recommend to anyone who lives in County Durham. Also thanks to Consett Cat Rescue for recommending.
