We want to thank everyone for the support you have given us the past few days, the amount of love and flowers we have received has been incredibly heart warming.

Moving forward, we have decided to reduce our opening hours to 10:00 - 16:00 Monday to Friday, Saturday will remain 10:00 - 14:00 until the end of August.

The shop is now more important than ever, do still come to see us, the shelves are stocked and of course the kettle will be on. We just ask you bear with us whilst we are fragile. ❤️‍🩹

Jonathan, Dawns husband, Lana, Lydia and Lauren’s dad, passed away on Friday.

Have you spotted sycamore seeds yet?

Sycamore seeds are already appearing in some areas, likely due to this summer's particularly dry weather, so now's a good time to start checking paddocks.

✅ Check fields regularly, especially around sycamore trees
✅ Move horses to fresh pasture before the seeds drop if possible
✅ Learn to spot the difference between sycamore and field mape seeds

⚠️ Sycamore seeds can carry toxins related to atypical myopathy, a severe muscle disorder. Chances of survival rely on catching signs very early.

Signs of atypical myopathy:
🔸 Muscle stiffness and pain
🔸 Laboured breathing
🔸 Muscle tremors
🔸 Appear depressed with low hanging heads
🔸 Dark red-brown urine
🔸 Rapid deterioration leading to recumbency

Any suspected cases of atypical myopathy should be treated as an immediate veterinary emergency.

PLEASE KEEP ALL DOGS ON LEADS

Following several recent incidents involving dogs off lead, we need to make our position absolutely clear.
Most recently, a dog running loose spooked one of our livery horses, causing the rider to fall. Fortunately, both horse and rider escaped serious injury, but the consequences could have been devastating.

Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times while on the farm. No exceptions.

We appreciate that many owners believe their dogs are obedient and trustworthy. However, when one person allows their dog off lead, it encourages others to do the same and undermines the safety measures we have in place.
We love seeing your dogs at the farm and want them to remain welcome visitors. Please help us keep everyone safe by respecting this rule every time you visit.
