Donkey Breed Society National Championship Show

Islandfarm Viscount is an 13 year old gelding donkey who has achieved great success in the show ring. He was bred at Island Farm Donkey Sanctuary to a mare called East Lodge Bryony who was bequeathed to the sanctuary by the late Alex and Sue Horn. Alex was a very prominent character in the world of donkey showing and won many awards and championships with his donkeys.
Viscount has won a number of show championships including at the Mid Somerset Show and the New Forest and Hampshire Show. He was Reserve Champion at the Ellingham and Ringwood Show to his stable mate Perehill Magical Moments.
Winning at these shows means qualification to compete at the highest level at the National Championship Show where both Viscount and Magical Moments were up against donkeys from all over the UK. After winning the Senior Gelding Class Viscount went on to win British Champion Gelding for the fifth consecutive year. Each Champion donkey then competes for overall Supreme Champion at which Visount excelled coming away with the title and trophy.
Perehill Magical Moments qualified for the Championship Show by winning at Heckinton Show and the Ellingham and Ringwood Show. At the National Show she won the Senior Mare class followed by Reserve Mare Champion.
