PARVOVIRUS CASES in wirral
Around Moreton area 8 dogs have sadly died and other cases have been at Chester gates veterinary hospital aswell just making sure everyone can stay vigilant with their dogs and recognise symptoms quickly as the first 72 hours it crucial to get veterinary treatment
⛔Symptoms of parvovirus⛔
Some of the signs of parvovirus include lethargy; loss of appetite; abdominal pain and bloating; fever or low body temperature (hypothermia); vomiting; and severe, often bloody, diarrhea. Persistent vomiting and diarrhea can cause rapid dehydration, and damage to the intestines and immune system can cause septic shock.
Careful with young and older dogs and un vaccinated dogs there is no cure for it but treatment is crucial within the first days of symptoms!
