The most handsome 🌟Suki🌟

Suki was with us for an ultrasound of his abdomen, urine collection/ testing and intravenous fluids,
He was the sweetest boy and gave the team lots of snuggles flopping onto his back for a belly rub🤩

🌞🐾 Hot Weather Paw Care Tips

When the temperature rises, your pet’s paws are at risk too! Hot pavements, sand, and even artificial grass can cause burns and discomfort.

🐶 How to protect your pet’s paws:
• Walk early morning or late evening when surfaces are cooler
• Test the ground with your hand — if it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for them
• Stick to shaded grassy areas where possible
• Consider protective dog booties for extra safety
• Moisturize paw pads if they look dry or cracked (ask your vet for advice)

⚠️ Signs of burnt paws:
• Limping or refusing to walk
• Licking or chewing paws
• Red, blistered, or darkened pads

This is Bob🥰
Bob came to us for a blood pressure check,

In the video you can see our nurses getting a non invasive blood pressure reading using the Doppler🌟

As you can see, we use a ‘hands free’, less is more technique for Bob as this is what suited him best🐾
He sat so well for his readings whilst enjoying a little snack and strokes from the nurses🤩

This helped us receive accurate readings and made sure Bob was comfortable with us doing this which is most important🤍

Patient of the week this week is….
This handsome boy 🌟Frank🌟

Frank was with us for an ultrasound investigation of his tummy, with the ultrasound were able to detect things we aren’t able to with our eyes/ physical exams⚡️

He was the bestest boy and loved having his ball with him for emotional support🥺🤍

As the weather starts to warm up, here are some indicators your pet may be experiencing heat stroke🌡☀

⚠️ Warning signs include:
• Excessive panting or difficulty breathing
• Drooling
• Lethargy or collapse
• Vomiting or diarrhoea
• Bright red or pale gums

🚨 What to do:
• Move your dog to a cool, shaded area immediately
• Offer small amounts of cool (not cold) water
• Wet their body with cool water and use a fan if possible
• Contact your vet straight away

⛔ Never leave dogs in cars, even for a few minutes.
