I've finally updated the website with the current progress of the season - it's been a rollercoaster!

2025 season is almost done - we've had fantastic results and there's just one more clutch of eggs in the incubator.

To help reduce the stress associated with traveling to their new homes, this season's babies will come with their complete enclosure, containing all the hides and decor.

Hello!

We're waking up after brumation and getting started with the plans for this season.
There's a little added excitement this year because some of the hatchlings will be participating in a study looking at the effects of diet on growth and behaviour.

The primary pairings have been done over the last couple of weeks, so we should have plenty of updates happening as clutches are produced and we start the loooong wait for pipping.

There's quite a few changes going on in the background this year too, not least of which being a location change (though we're still within Greater Manchester, so the name can stay 😄)

Anna had a fantastic first season this year, she was paired with 2 males which isn't something I often do, but it had been quite a while after the first pairing and I hadn't seen a lock, or any sign of eggs building. I paired with a second male, and there were eggs a month later so I assumed male 2 (Subzero ph Snow) had done the job. It wasn't long after they hatched that it became clear it was actually male 1, Barney II (albino conda het snow) - though not before I had a moment of excitement thinking Anna must be a low expression conda and I'd produced arctic yeti babies 😅

Cagney and Bathory had a whole host of shared possible hets, none proved out in this clutch unfortunately, but as Bathory is sable and Cagney is conda het sable we have a gorgeous selection of sable, sable conda and 100% het sable babies 🥰

Phoenix and Rooibos (pronounced Roy-boss) produced the first drama-noodle of the season 😆with some really nice high reds in the clutch. Amazingly, this was a het to het pairing, exactly 50% of the clutch are visual axanthic 😮 That's odds you'd expect from a visual to het pairing!
