After 6 whole weeks of school-holiday madness, I’m finally BACK ON THE ROAD! 🙌😂🚐🐾

The little one is back at school 🎒🏫 which means normality has resumed… and I’m back where I belong — spoiling your gorgeous pooches! 🛁✂️🐶💕

🐾 Barney’s First Puppy Pamper 🐾

Meet gorgeous Barney 🥰🐶

This was Barney’s first visit with me for his very first puppy pamper at just 4 months old — and what a little superstar he was! 🌟

He was such a good boy and was so chilled throughout, you’d think he’d been having his pamper sessions forever! 💙

Barney had a lovely bath & blow-dry, followed by a little tidy-up around his face, feet and bottom, plus nails clipped and eyes & ears cleaned. ✂️🛁🐾

He took everything in his stride and was an absolute little star from start to finish! ⭐️

Well done Barney — I’m looking forward to watching you grow and seeing you again for your next puppy pamper! 🥰🐾

🐾 Narla… ❤️

Narla was one of the dogs that had been dumped in Crofton, and K9-SAR came to her rescue. 🐶❤️ These amazing people have done an incredible job and have been working around the clock to find, rescue, and care for these dogs. 🙏

After seeing their post asking for a groomer, I reached out and offered my help. That’s when I was told that one of the “Crofton dogs”—now named Narla, a beautiful Spaniel—needed me. 🐾

Narla came to me heavily matted around her legs, bum, tail, feet, ears and chest. She was covered in faeces and urine and was also suffering from mild urine burns down her legs. 💔

It was absolutely heartbreaking to see just how long this sweet girl had been living like this. Despite everything she had been through, she was such a loving girl—just extremely nervous and frightened. ❤️ Thankfully, she is now receiving all the love and care she so desperately deserves. 🥹🐾

Her groom took 4½ hours because of how frightened she was. We took everything at her pace, allowing plenty of breaks, cuddles and reassurance along the way. 🥰

This groom was never about making her look pretty—it was about her welfare and comfort. 💕 It is still very much a work in progress. Every movement of the scissors or the sound of clippers frightened her, so I chose not to use clippers at all. Instead, I carefully worked through the matting with scissors a little at a time, constantly reassuring her that she was safe. Seeing her slowly begin to trust me was incredibly rewarding. 🫶🐶

Narla has now settled into safety and is getting all the love and care she deserves. ❤️ She was still lactating, which sadly suggests she’d recently had another litter. 😢 She has been seen by the vets, had a full health check, and received flea and worming treatment. She still has a long road ahead of her, but she’s finally where she needs to be. 🩺🐾

I can’t wait to see this beautiful girl again in a few weeks and will be sure to share an update with you all. 💕🐶

A huge thank you to K9-SAR for everything they have done for Narla and all the other dogs they have rescued. You truly are amazing. 👏❤️

She came to me as an emergency groom and is one of the Crofton dogs who desperately needed help. 🐶💕

My first priority wasn’t making her look pretty—it was freeing her from the heavy, tight matting that had been trapping her and giving her some much-needed relief 🐶

Underneath all those mats is a beautiful soul who deserves love, kindness, and a fresh start. This is only the beginning of her journey, and we can’t wait to show you her incredible transformation and story behind it 💕K9-SAR

Due to the school holidays and arranging childcare cover, I am now fully booked until September.

🌾 Grass Seeds: Tiny Seed, BIG Problem! 🐾

With the warmer weather here, grass seeds are everywhere – and they can cause serious problems for our furry friends.

After every walk, take a couple of minutes to check your dog’s:
🐾 Paws (especially between the toes)
👂 Ears
👀 Eyes
🐕 Coat, armpits & under the tail

Grass seeds can work their way into the skin, causing pain, infection and sometimes even surgery if left unnoticed.

At Sassy Paws Dog Grooming, we’re always happy to help spot potential problems during your dog’s groom, but regular checks at home are just as important. 💛

A quick check today could save your pup a trip to the vet tomorrow! 🐶

A big welcome to Belle, the gorgeous Newfoundland, who came to see me for her very first pamper session. ❤️

Belle was an absolute dream from start to finish—such a loving, gentle girl with the calmest nature. She thoroughly enjoyed all the fuss and attention, and it was a pleasure to spend time with her.

Today’s pamper included:
