♥ Meet Jasper and Joy ♥

We had the pleasure of meeting Jasper and Joy when they came in to have their vaccinations at Wakefield Northgate. Their owner told us they are Biewer Terriers and explained a bit about the breed.

🐾They are a toy breed that are of German descent but share the same genetic lineage as Yorkshire Terriers. They are originally a result of two Yorkshire Terriers breeding who both have a recessive piebald gene - this means they differ in coat colour from the Yorkshire Terrier but still share the same affectionate and friendly temperament.

Our RVN's Maria and Katie and our Vet Gemma enjoyed learning more about Biewer terriers and of course had lots of cuddles! 😍

Is this your rabbit?

This beautiful little girl is a young female rabbit, all black, and is currently being treated medically at our Brindley way hospital. She was found on long lane, Ackworth.

😍Introducing Mo 😍

This absolute sweetheart came in to see our vet Lydia at Pontefract and he had a very busy visit - vaccination, flea and worm treatment, 4 weeks free insurance and of course lots of cuddles! ♥

Mo will be coming in next month to get weighed - we can't wait to see how much he's grown in a month!

Gorgeous Alan is enjoying a wonderful treat in this hot weather - sardine ice cream! Lovingly prepared by our RVN Mariana, this not only helps with keeping our patients cool in the heat but also provides enrichment and mental stimulation.

🐦Our patients are not just furry but sometimes feathered or scaley! 🐍

♥This beautiful Leopard Gecko is called Mittens and recently came in to see Gemma along with her brother Charlie (who will have his own photo's in another post!) ♥

Our Vet Gemma has a special interest in exotics and is always happy to see them in her consultations. She works mainly at Wakefield Northgate and our Brindley Way Hospital and has been working with small mammals, reptiles, and birds to keep them fit and healthy.
