If you’ve ever dropped your cat off with us and spotted me in my riding gear, this is one of my lovely girls.🐴💚

Last week we were lucky enough to head down to Horse of the Year Show together.
Running a family cattery means our days are always busy, but my main hobby is riding. Whether I’ve just got back from exercising before our guests arrive, or I’m about to head out once everyone’s settled in, Alice and our other horses are a big part of our daily life here on the farm.

While we were away at HOYS, all of our feline guests (and our own animals!) were in very safe hands. A huge thank you to Derry Wells at All Creatures Animal Experience for looking after everyone with the same care and attention that we would.

After sadly losing my dear trainer, Craig, Derry has also kindly helped me train both me and my horses. I’m incredibly grateful for his patience and look forward to the future.

Now it’s back to normal life here and it seems half term and Xmas is just round the corner😻

We’ve had lots of enquiries recently, so we thought we’d answer some of the questions we’re asked the most! 🐾

🏡 Do you live on-site?
Yes, we do! Being on-site means we can keep a close eye on everyone throughout the day and be there whenever we’re needed.

🧹 How often are the litter trays cleaned?
Every single time we go into the cattery building, we check every lodge. If there’s anything in a litter tray, it’s cleaned immediately. With just 11 spacious lodges, we’re able to give each cat plenty of individual attention and keep litter trays, water bowls and lodges clean, fresh and well maintained throughout the day.

🎄 Do you have any Christmas availability?
Yes, we do! 🎅 However, Christmas enquiries have been incredibly busy over the past couple of weeks, and we’re expecting our remaining lodges to fill up soon. If you’re thinking of booking, we’d recommend getting in touch sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment.

📸 Do you send updates every day?
Not usually. We like to give cats a chance to settle into their holiday first, so we’ll send you a photo or video once they’re relaxed and comfortable. If your cat is staying with us for a longer period, we’re more than happy to send additional updates during their stay—just ask! ❤️

HOME FOUND!!! Wow the amount of shares these girls got. All rescues I tried either didn’t answer the phone or were full so I decided to rehome them ourselves and I’m glad we did. Praying this never happens again however these girls are lucky this time! 🐈🐈

LOVING HOME FOUND
💔 Looking for a Loving Home 💔

This isn’t a post I ever wanted to have to write.

We have sadly had two beautiful female cats abandoned at our cattery. Despite every effort to contact their owner, they have been left in our care with no intention of being collected.

When they first arrived they were understandably quiet and unsure of me, but over time they have really come out of their shells. They are now both very friendly, use their litter trays perfectly, and are a pleasure to care for. They are lovely, attractive cats who deserve so much better than what has happened to them.

Sadly, we’ve contacted every avenue we can think of. Local rescue centres are full, and the RSPCA are unable to take them. Of course, we will continue to care for them properly, but as a small family-run cattery we simply cannot provide them with the permanent home they deserve.

We are therefore looking for a kind, loving forever home for them. Ideally, we’d love them to stay together if possible.

If you think you could offer one (or both) of these lovely girls a caring home, please send us a private message. We’d also be incredibly grateful if you could share this post to help us reach as many people as possible.

Both girls are wormed/ flead/ vaccinated and microchipped and I am in contact with the vet as to how we change details over.
Let’s help these girls get the happy ending they truly deserve. ❤️🐾

Keeping our guests hydrated in the heat ☀️🐾

With the continuous warm weather, we’re still taking extra measures to make sure all our cattery guests are comfortable, happy and well hydrated. 💧

For our new arrivals who are still settling in, and for those we’d like to encourage to drink just that little bit more, we’ve been offering these tasty cat soups. 😻🥣 They’re a great way to tempt our guests to take on some extra fluids while also giving them a little treat — especially in this heat!

Please note: 🐾 We only feed Whiskas wet and dry food as part of our standard cattery diet. If your cat normally eats something different, please remember to bring their usual food with them for the duration of their stay.

We do like to keep treats and a few little extras in stock, just in case they’re needed, because we want to make sure every guest has the most comfortable, happy and puurfect stay possible! 🥰🐱
